I’m wanting to make mushroom risotto this weekend, and I was hoping to use mushrooms other than typical portobello or cremini mushrooms.

Is there a market that would be a good place to search for those? I think that I may try the Fresh Market. Sorry in advance for the misleading subject line.

Ultimately, I found that the Fresh Market packages pre-sliced shiitake, oyster and baby bella mushrooms by the quarter-pound, so I went with those.

The mushrooms that I had picked up seemed a bit off, but I found similarly packaged mushrooms at Harris Teeter, although I don’t recall seeing them there when I originally checked.
