I didn't start following Textile Bowl until I became a wolf packer in 2011. So the game two yrs ago was my most memorable moment.

For Clemson football, of course is the TD at the last second versus bama which brought Clemson to national championship in 2017. It passed midnight already.

That 2010 14-13 wa such a terrible game. If i remember right, a win would’ve been huge for our chances to win the division, maybe even would’ve clinched it. I can’t remember. Instead we shit our pants.

Yup. Reserved a place before the schedule was released. If only we had it a week earlier we’d would have been married on the bye week. Oh well. I’m not too upset about it. If we win - awesome! I’ll watch the replay of it as soon as I can. If we lose - at least I didn’t sit through it and then feel like I wasted my time watching it.

The infamous TOB not going for it late in the game on 4th and 1.. resulting in the subsequent 4 yard punt debacle.

2010 was the 4 yard punt. The 6 yard punt was a year earlier. And honestly, the 6 yard punt wasn't that bad. It was better than CJ Spiller taking it to the house. We kicked away from him the whole game, and for good reason.

It's hard for me to think back to the glory days of <10 yard punts without being consumed by the missed chip shot FG for the win in Death Valley.

The 2010 game was the original 'shut the bed' game on here IIRC

Also 3 other friends and I left Garner on a whim at 3am to go to the game. Good times.

This feels like a game we win close or a game where we completely get blown out.

Clemson at home.
Clemson after a BYE week.
We're the biggest game on Clemson's schedule this year.
Their fans HATE our HC.
We've played them close the last 2 years.

We aren't catching them sleeping. They aren't going to be coming off any emotional wins or losses. They aren't going to be missing any key players.

Going to earn this one if we take it, but right now it feels a little like the ND game. Where we could give them a contest early and fade late and the score makes it look worse than it was.

Coaches comparison after an off week (bye or otherwise excepting season openers) vs overall record:

DD: Overall win %: 65%
With 1+ week prep win %: 69%

DS: Overall win %: 78%
With 1+ week prep win %: 67%

Dabo is actually worse after a bye than his overall record

their forums are some of the most toxic I've read. from them I gather that:

-they absolutely hate Doeren - have memes, whole threads devoted to him, etc. seems fueled by Dabo

-think that we are a fallback school and are #7 in NC alone?

-think that we shouldn't be in the ACC because apparently "Wake Forest has a better football program. I'm not even sure if the wolfpack has a baseball team. Are they any good at basketball?"

-they repeatedly call us a dirty program, expect cheap shots, targeting, etc.

They are v salty after the last few matchups. DD’s comments about the laptop were dumb but they’ve really taken that to another level. And we knocked Gallman out of the game a few years back in what they think was a dirty hit. We’re a thorn in their side and they don’t like it.

We’re the dirty ones, guys. They’re all saints at clemson.

My favorite textile bowl memory was 2002 winning on Thursday night big time.

The momentum is building for this game. Hope it is a pack win or at least close and we don’t get dominated like last year against Notre Dame when it was two ranked teams playing.

The ND game last year was ruined by one bad play and our guys never recovered from it. If we play mistake-free I think we win. Special teams has got to hang on.

also we had dudes dropping like flies. i know Nyheim Hines left the game and didn't return. a DT did as well...maybe Justin Jones, can't remember exactly. and i think an OL got hurt as well. not saying we would've won...but losing Hines was kinda a back breaker. had we been 100% last year, the season could've been much different. he was clearly hobbled vs ND, Wake, and Clemson...

Are you driving down just for the game? I've been twice, once in a church parking lot maybe half a mile out down 133 and may have paid (probably 10 years ago now, I don't remember) a few bucks. Other time I was staying at the Hampton Inn that says it's ~2 miles, I just walked. It was sunny both times though, so you may not be as lucky. But anyway, there should be all sorts of businesses and whatever selling spots on 133 unless it's changed in the past few years

The C-1 pay lot is really big and popular. I would imagine that you need to still get there fairly early.
