was hoping for an undefeated preseason, but oh well. those back to back bullshit roughing penalties messed up the concentration of the 3rd stringers.

Fuck the Cowboys.

If anyone is interested, NFL Auctions has a KB panthers helmet up for grabs.*spoiler* the reserve hasn't been met yet. https://nflauction.nfl.com/iSynApp/auctionDisplay.action?auctionId=2460746

Who do we have that can cover Julio? The Falcons looked like world-beaters when he was able to get in the game. Very meh otherwise. I read where the Aints had high odds to win the SB. Are they that good?Anything to worry about with the Buc's?
9/7/2018 8:34:59 AM
Julio is great between the 20s and then they seem to let him disappear in the redzone. I don't think we have anyone that can shut him down by any means, but I don't think he'll have another 200+ yard performance against us when he got Bene fired. Saints are good. They're also hard to beat at home, have a HoF QB, great running game, and their D is actually talented and young. I don't know that I'd consider them a favorite for the SB, but they are very much in play to win the NFC South. Bucs aren't good. I think they have a decent back-up that might help them not go 0-4, but they still have a bad OL, bad RBs, and only above-average to good D.
9/7/2018 9:11:39 AM
There isn't anyone in the NFL that can cover Julio.
9/7/2018 9:16:38 AM
Yeah I think it’s a product of play calling in the red zone, not Julio disappearing or being ineffective
9/7/2018 9:17:41 AM
Play calling and QB play. For example, on the final play last night the falcons called a great play. They had Jones and Sanu lined up directly beside each other and got the desired result of single coverage on Jones. But Ryan threw a pass that Jones had no chance of catching in bounds.]
9/7/2018 10:47:41 AM
Keanu Neal, the Falcons baller safety, done for the year with an acl tear
9/7/2018 4:26:56 PM
Curtis Samuel can't stay healthy it seems.
9/7/2018 10:04:54 PM
Looked good till the fumble.
9/9/2018 4:49:05 PM
i still hate mccaffrey
9/9/2018 4:50:36 PM
Cam almost looks like he has a different throwing motion, but I guess he's just getting rid of the ball quicker and more deliberately.
9/9/2018 5:01:55 PM
Hold on to the goddamn ball
9/9/2018 5:48:17 PM
Olsen hurtseason fucked?
9/9/2018 6:39:24 PM
we went 11-5 last year and he barely played it looks like he'll miss some games this year as well, but on paper with the additional offensive weapons, he isn't as integral to our offense as past years. and Ian Thomas looks solid so far.this Daryl Williams injury could be bad though[Edited on September 9, 2018 at 7:10 PM. Someone tell me how old Tepper's daughter is so I can have an opinion on whether she is hot

9/9/2018 8:01:14 PM
Not much bad to say about this game other than the injuries. That's a very good defense we just played and for the most part handled well until Williams went out. Shoulda had at least a couple more touchdowns if not for some miscues. Obviously completely dominated them on defense, Zeke doesn't get held in check like that often.
9/10/2018 2:49:56 PM
Remember when Gettleman got fired for not readily throwing money at two declining players that have spent most of their time injured or suspended since the new GM met their demands? Good times.
9/11/2018 1:03:06 PM
very cool fan move to gloat after two very significant players get injured
9/11/2018 1:05:22 PM
Daryl Williams is a declining player?
9/11/2018 1:52:26 PM
Are you guys even fans of this team or do you just casually watch the games from time to time? I was obviously talking about TD and Olsen.
9/11/2018 1:59:57 PM
Olsen was obvious. I figured you might have been talking about Williams since it was reported today that he was having surgery. And I didn't realize Davis spent "most of his time suspended" ]
9/11/2018 2:37:43 PM
^^ did I accuse you of saying anything about Williams?your obsession with a former GM is fuckin’ weird, man. he is not worth this much caping up for.
9/11/2018 2:45:14 PM
Remember when Gettleman let a Pro Bowl cornerback just leave because he felt like being petty? Or when he whiffed on 90% of his draft picks?]
9/11/2018 2:47:01 PM
you may also wanna check out Olsen’s three seasons before the extension before using a word like “declining”[Edited on September 11, 2018 at 2:51 PM. Reason : Matt Kalil signed a 5 year, $55 million deal]

This isn't even really worth arguing. Gettleman took Hurney's mess of a roster and turned it into a perennial contender. He was fired for taking what was now obviously the correct position on veteran contract negotiations. That's not cherry picking, that's the exact reason he was reportedly fired. What you guys are doing now actually is cherry picking. Yes, not every decision a GM makes is the correct one, but he was clearly right more often than not. None of this is even debatable, and it's not caping to point out facts. I'm not even sure what point you folks are trying to make right now other than being contrarians.
9/11/2018 3:05:22 PM
^^No, Hurney actually hit on his first round picks
9/11/2018 3:09:42 PM
Greg Olsen had never missed a game due to an injury until last season and wasn’t on the declineyou are gloating over losing one of our best players to injury. it’s a bad look. you’re also the same person who predicted a lost season last year after we changed GMs. one would think that would’ve quieted you down a bit, but you had to get excited over an injury. 9/11/2018 3:54:47 PM
all the All Pros and MVPs and DPOYs on this roster are Hurney picks, but keep hatinghey guise, we have Star and KK, let's spend a 1st rounder on another DT because that's what this team really needs[Edited on September 11, 2018 at 3:57 PM. Reason : .]
9/11/2018 3:56:26 PM
Hurney knows talent. Paying them should be someone else's job.
9/11/2018 4:09:49 PM
Anyway, Falcon's just put Deion Jones on IR, along with Keanu Neal earlier this week. That just became a very winnable game next week.[Edited on September 11, 2018 at 6:39 PM. Reason : .]
9/11/2018 6:37:34 PM
I'm fine with Marty Hurney having the sole job of drafting the first round draft picks. But don't let him draft anything else, make trades or negotiate contracts.
9/11/2018 6:57:46 PM
^^ or this week
9/11/2018 7:05:59 PM
Clausen in the 2nd round wasn't that bad of a pick. It obviously didn't pan out, but Bradford was the only QB in the entire draft that did anything, and he can't stay healthy. It's not like we burned a top-10 pick on him.And I did it in a previous post, so I won't list all of the Josh Normans and Ryan Kalils who Hurney got outside the first round, or how he let somebody like Norwell walk rather than paying him huge money, etc, because some people apparently still think this is Marty Hurney v1.0 and that he didn't learn anything in his time away from the league

9/11/2018 7:49:31 PM
Well, we have lost 4/5 against Atlanta, and that one was due to Julio Jones dropping a touchdown all alone in the endzone. Clearly we have a matchup issue with them and they will be out for blood after that opening season loss to the Eagles. I think they lose a big part of that edge without Neal and Jones though. Cam hasn't really had a great game against them since they drafted those two (Jones was the one who knocked Cam the fuck out at the goal line last year).
9/12/2018 11:55:27 AM
Makes me laugh everytime
9/12/2018 12:54:51 PM
Trai turner in concussion protocol. Our O-line is seriously snake bit
9/12/2018 5:28:05 PM
no Turner, no Byrd, no Samuels and obviously no Olsen, Williams this week. But Devonta Freeman is out, so that's cool.
9/14/2018 11:48:16 PM
Samuels is 100% going to be a bust of Jimmy Clausen proportions.[Edited on September 15, 2018 at 2:32 AM. Reason : Tevin Coleman would start for half the teams in the NFL]
9/15/2018 2:31:27 AM
