Surprised to see there wasn't a thread for this. Here now - this is probably one of the best cities I've ever been to. The ruin bars (Instant, especially) are absolutely nuts and everything is dirt cheap. Amazing architecture everywhere you look. I'm a big fan.I have one more night here if anyone has any suggestions. Off to Munich next.

Thermal baths? My sister loved Budapest and raved about the baths for months afterward.

Got hammered at bars set up in abandoned buildings, go to baths the next morning to cure hangover, find girls to hook up with at baths....rinse and repeat. Only difficult to find girls if you go to male-only baths or go on the days where it is male-only. Did that once....but it was one of the cool historic baths.

hungarian house of winebudapest is great, though it's becoming very prague-like w/ tourists

did the ruin pubs, baths, and castle. we also went to this island in the middle of the Danube that had this awesome park/beer garden/water light show. definitely a ton of tourists and super wasted people (especially big groups of British dudes). the girls here are gorgeous. I studied abroad in Prague for a summer and it's my favorite city but Budapest is pretty damn close. had a great time. I wish I had gotten to do a Hungarian wine tasting. Might try to do it tomorrow if i can before we fly to Munich

I was in Budapest this past December. Of course, my weather experience is totally opposite from yours.Goulash, Paprikash Chicken, Potato Cakes - YUM (these went great with mulled wine from the Christmas markets)Széchenyi thermal bath - amazing (especially when the weather was cold). Splurge for a dressing closet... perfect place to get lucky Try all the beers - 16 oz cans at convenience stores were like $0.50.
