Wishful thinking. Most everyone dies except for Stark, who spends decades trying to fix what happened. His character arc would be amazing. The psychological buildup and breaking of these moments hes seen in his dreams.

It was far from the best of the marvel movie trailers, and it still almost made me cry just from the pure joy and excitement of all of this coming together. Loved the “get this man a shield” moment.

The people of Marvel are absolute geniuses.

Just in case there weren't enough people interested in the standalone Black Panther movie, they release this trailer before it comes out, including a bunch of Wakandans that folks might not know. Now, if they weren't interested in the Black Panther's personal story, they probably will be.

Unless I missed it, did they show the Ant Man anywhere?

I bet Stark gets captured by Thanos and brought to another place. Either dimension or region of space. When hes holding his head it appears to be in space somewhere. The dialogue between Stark and Thanos will be amazing.

I think his dialogue is too interesting to die. It makes sense for the movies budgets. He makes too much.

But, in terms of character use, Captain America makes more sense to me.

Cap and Iron Man seem the most likely A-Listers to bite it in these movies; I doubt any non-Phase 1 heroes will die. Maybe a couple secondary Avengers like Hawkeye, Falcon, Vision, etc.

Hawkeye is definitely going to get it - he's typically rated the least favorite, and they've already tried to get viewers emotionally involved by introducing his family in Age of Ultron.

I may do this over the holidays. I've seen them all, but it would be fun to watch from the beginning again. It'll be hard because my gf has zero interest in these things.

^^The audience had no investment in him before he got mind controlled in the first Avengers movie. I think if he had been a bigger part of the first Thor, like Coulson was in Iron Man 2, he would have garnered more fanfare. Then the next time we see him is Ultron, where he's all PTSD'ed from the mind control. So it's still all we have to go on from him other than the forced family man thing.

Looks like 3 big battles:

Space: Asgardians. Loki gives up the tesseract, Hulk sent through space to earth, Thor collides with Guardians.
New York: Spider-Man, Iron Man, Dr. Strange/Wong, Hulk
Wakanda: Cap, Bucky, Widow, Black Panther, Hulk, Falcon, War Machine (probably Scarlet Witch also)

Also maybe something else in space with just Tony and Vision?

Hulk is EVERYWHERE in this.

Help me out here (spoilers from other Marvel Movies)













Which infinity stones have we seen so far?

1. The Tesseract is the Space Stone - made its way from WWII to NYC to Asgard and I assume Loki took it when he went down in the basement. Might be what that ship was there for (Thanos's ship?)

2. The Aether is the Reality Stone - The bad elves who couldn't cut it for LOTR had it, then Thor sent it to Collector, but then his house got wrecked, does it still have it, or did Howard the Duck run off with it haha?

3. The Orb is the Power Stone - the Guardians of the Galaxy gave it to Cal Naughton Jr, I assume he still has it for now.

4. The Scepter is the Mind Stone - Thanos via the Other gave it to Loki, and it ended up in Vision's forehead. Can Vision survive without it, or does Jarvis go back into the computer an cyberbang Veronica?

5. The Eye of Agamotto is the Time Stone - Dr Strange has come to bargain. Assuming its in the NYC or Hong Kong Sanctum.

6. Soul Stone?? I thought Jackie Robinson might have had it, but I don't think so.

And the glove was seen when Thanos said he would do it himself.

We don't know where the soul stone is, people thought it might have been within the comet of Vibranium that hit Wakanda since (mild spoilers) Black Panthers seem able to converse with the souls of the dead ancestors, plus the existence of the "heart shaped herb"(/spoilers) but the director seemed to imply that isn't the case.

It may be that the Soul Stone is with the Dominion, who seem to be creating Adam Warlock to fight the Guardians, and Warlock has often possessed the Soul Stone. Otherwise we may see it in Captain Marvel being used by the Skrulls.

Also you're thinking of Friday (Tony's AI) or Karen (Spidey's AI), Veronica is the name of the Hulkbuster armor.

^^Colors may help, all I can remember is Vision's one is yellow, Dr. Strange's necklace one is green, the one that was in the Collector's house was red, the one that was in the Asgard lockup (that Loki gave the double take of in Ragnorak) was blue, and I think the one that the Guardians gave up was purple. The orange one we haven't seen yet, I assume that either Thanos already has it or it will be part of the first act of Avengers 3.

EDIT: nm, just found this. Its a little outdated since the blue one is no longer on Asgard.

So clearly there are 3 battles in the movie. The first is obviously in New York. The other two are in Wakanda and Titan.

Not really spoilers because this is totally speculation but whatever

I think the second battle is on Titan and Tony dies or is at least gravely injured during that battle. Then the 3rd battle is in Wakanda. We see the Hulkbuster armor in Wakanda, but I actually think that's Banner in the Hulkbuster armor, and when it gets taken down by the aliens and they start tearing at it, Hulk busts out of the armor
