Pack Pride has been around longer, but that's about the only thing they have on IPS, in my opinion.

James Henderson, Pack Pride's former lead publisher, left to form his own site over at Inside Pack Sports. It's a much cleaner look than Pack Pride and the insider information at Inside Pack Sports is already beating out PP's. The site came only came out last Monday and they already have a massive number of subscribers over there. They've even got former players writing articles. Nate Irving just wrote a story on there describing his journey to N.C. State

There were two "dudes" on PP....James Henderson and Steve Williams.

Steve was all football and James was both (but their only basketball guy). So James was a pretty big loss.

I think PP's premium is $9.99...so the prices aren't that big of a deal.

I've checked out Inside Pack Sports and their platform kinda sucks...but PP's isn't much better. It's crazy that t-dub hasn't changed their format in a long time yet it's still so much more user friendly then those "professional" sites. Put more money in tech guys.

so this is my thing about premium sites. that info almost all becomes public very soon after a premium site publishes it. like maybe PP or TheWolfpacker says "hey guys this could be a big weekend for recruiting, getting some get vibes about player X". so, sure, you get a leg up on recruiting information sometimes. and some "behind the scenes" type stuff...like during a coaching search or something they may have more information (or are willing to share the info) about some of the things that maybe went on behind the scenes leading up to a firing or a hiring...but all that is gonna come out publicly eventually as well. and maybe that's valuable to some people, but i guess it's not as valuable to me.

where premium subscriptions are maybe worth it, to me, is simply that it's less bullshit to wade through than on some free boards...like premium PP (i used to have a subscription) was much more enjoyable to read because you didn't have to wade through all the trolling and idiocy.

my dad subscribes to TheWolfpacker. i read every once in a while and it's fine, but rarely do i feel like i'm getting some real inside info on stuff.

Coworker who is a huge PP fan (and also in his 50's, so TWW was well after his time) was talking up this shit like it was the greatest thing ever. He used to say the same thing about PP and how it was money well spent, I should sign up and chat with him, etc. I don't give enough of a fuck to pay for that shit though. I've been on this site for 17 years now and never paid a penny to it either.

Right now, premium memberships to PP or this is only worth it if you're interested in their premium boards. Most (all?) of the information that you're paying for via premium articles will come out in time.

It'll be interesting to see where this site goes - I totally respect James Henderson for doing his thing but I can't think of an independent "college sports" site like this. Most of them are tied into scout or rivals or whatever.

I do agree that PP's quality has gone downhill in the last year or so.
