Fact: Jimmy John's sucks
5/2/2017 1:46:52 PM
The owner seems like a classy guy
5/2/2017 2:01:53 PM
Apparently they have $1 subs today from. 4pm-8pm
5/2/2017 2:14:30 PM
All of their food, in totality, has the flavor of a wet t-shirt
5/2/2017 2:25:02 PM
I enjoy their Jimmy Mustard, but they are so unwilling to put it on anything. you have to ask for it twice and then specifically tell them "no, i didn't mean Dijon. I want you to open that jar of jimmy mustard and put it on my fucking sandwich you lazy clown"
5/2/2017 3:04:09 PM
Vito double meat unwich is ok.Their bread sucks
5/2/2017 3:10:21 PM
Jimmy mustard? ...that is essentially asking a 16 year old to bust a nut on your sandwich.[Edited on May 2, 2017 at 3:11 PM. Reason : Nut butter]
5/2/2017 3:10:49 PM
you'd know
5/2/2017 3:17:04 PM
Jimmy John's sucks they dont even have a bahn mi that costs upward of 15 bux
5/2/2017 3:21:19 PM
Lol how did I miss thatJeepin likes to lick the jimmy mustard off his face after it oozes out
5/2/2017 3:21:24 PM
Jersey Mikes ftw
5/2/2017 3:23:27 PM
I've always liked their bread, but not their cold cuts.If I could get Jimmy's bread with Jersey Mikes' cold cuts I'd be a happy man
5/2/2017 3:23:29 PM
Firehouse > Jersey Mikes > Jimmy JohnsThey're all too expensive IMHO tho
5/2/2017 4:17:41 PM
I've been on a real Which Wich kick lately but JJ is close to work and quick so it's fine.Anyway this thread was about how terrible Mayo is more than the establishment
5/2/2017 4:19:45 PM
I've probably eaten at several hundred different Subways around the US and in the Caribbean during my various travels, and the quality and service have been amazingly consistent.
5/2/2017 6:19:50 PM
5/2/2017 6:35:59 PM
synapse has no sense of taste
5/2/2017 6:41:17 PM
what about peen station?
5/2/2017 8:32:01 PM
^ haven't had them^^ where's your list?
5/2/2017 9:07:17 PM
as a rule, slick meat sandwiches suck. exceptions are few.
5/2/2017 9:11:23 PM
synapse where do you have Sub Conscious on there
5/3/2017 9:50:55 AM
Been too long, but I remember them fondly
5/3/2017 9:55:30 AM
I normally shit on chains...but I fucking love Jimmy Johns.1. Vito2. No onions3. Add banana peppers4. Profit
5/3/2017 9:56:16 AM
My current list would be: Harris Teeter > Which Which = Jimmy John's > Firehouse >> Quiznos >> SubwayFirehouse used to be my #2 but they have fallen off quite a bit over recent years. or at least the one i go to has.I don't know that i've had Jersey Mike's, honestly. Was that what was in the atrium back in the day? If so that shit was garbage, put it below quiznos
5/3/2017 9:58:51 AM
Wasn't it a Lil Dino's in the atrium? And yes...it was pretty garbage. My in-laws love Jersey Mikes for some odd-reason...so we've had it a couple times since they moved down here. It's good, but I prefer Jimmy Johns.
5/3/2017 10:15:43 AM
Lil' Dinos was in the atrium back in the day.I did like going to the one at the student center that had hot subs and waffle fries. And I don't mind Jimmy John's, it's better than subway but jersey mikes (and which wich) are a lot better.[Edited on May 3, 2017 at 10:27 AM. Reason : ]
5/3/2017 10:16:17 AM
ah, Lil Dinos. fuck that place
5/3/2017 10:20:54 AM
For the price it's hard to beat Jimmy John's.And all the Teeters I go to these days have let the quality of their bread slip.
5/3/2017 11:14:25 AM
5/3/2017 11:52:23 AM
^yeah HT's product varies greatly. I understand that they're not hiring geniuses to work the counter, but one would think that being able to put together a good sandwich is something that even the dumbest of simpletons can master. If I want a ton of meat I ask for the Italian. If I don't want a "huge" footlong I'll get meatball sub (b/c I keep that one basic - no veggies). Feeling "healthy" (lol) grilled chicken.
5/3/2017 2:44:00 PM
I'd suspect there just aren't any standards, and minimal if any training.
5/3/2017 3:20:17 PM
when I go to Jersey Mike's, I feel like I am paying for Jersey Mike's qualitywhen I go Subway, I feel like I am paying for Subway qualitywhen I order Jimmy Johns, I feel like I am paying Jersey Mike's price for Subway quality
5/3/2017 3:28:35 PM
5/3/2017 3:35:06 PM
HT subs are not that good
5/3/2017 3:37:36 PM
I thought Jimmy John's was the cheapest of all the sub places (save Subway)? I know they vary with locations, but even the most expensive JJ's is cheaper than every place except for maybe Subway (I wouldn't know the price of Subway since I haven't eaten their in 10 years...I just feel like they're the cheapest).[Edited on May 3, 2017 at 4:01 PM. Sprouts no thank you. Best sandwich: http://www.citysubsbrooklyn.com
5/4/2017 6:43:14 AM
5/4/2017 9:16:05 AM
Subway Italian6" - $4.7512" - $7.75JJ Vito8" - $5"Giant" 8" (twice meat and cheese) - $6.50Promotions really set Subway apart on the price front though with their $5-$6 footlongs and "Sub of the day." Today it's a footlong Italian BMT for $6 or a 6" for $3.50.Jersey Mike's ItalianMini (4.5") - $6.25Regular (7.5") - $8.65Giant (15") - $14.65[Edited on May 4, 2017 at 10:45 AM. Reason : add JM]
5/4/2017 10:40:47 AM
So what about that new racist Subway commercial for their Italian sub?^^he said "order", so I assume he's including delivery fees?^^^Are you saying that the subs from the grocery store "Sprouts" aren't good? Or you don't like alfalfa sprouts?
5/4/2017 11:03:26 AM
Jimmy johns puts sprouts on everythingThey smell and taste bad
5/4/2017 11:59:38 AM
There's a checkbox for that d00d
5/4/2017 12:06:05 PM
I thought you had to specifically ask for sprouts at Jimmy John's, especially after they stopped using them altogether for a while a couple years ago after the sprouts/e coli scare.
5/4/2017 12:32:13 PM
^^^Yeah I think that commercial is pretty insulting.^^I've never had a sub from JJ that had sprouts on it. I didn't know that was even an option with them.as an aside, I love sprouts. You can add them to just about anything without even noticing.
5/4/2017 12:33:27 PM
whats the point of adding something if you don't even notice it, how is that a good quality for a food to have?
5/4/2017 1:08:42 PM
Ha...great point.I like the taste and texture of sprouts...personally. I try and put them on all of my house-made deli sandwiches if I can remember to buy it.
5/4/2017 1:12:28 PM
Sprouts are loaded with nutrients, so that's one big reason why. And depending on the food type and sprout type they can add a little crunch and/or texture.
5/4/2017 1:13:45 PM
Yes, the point is that they're very healthy for what they are.(and i like the taste and crunch)
5/4/2017 1:16:02 PM
I always get em
5/4/2017 1:19:22 PM
^^^ crunch is noticingi like them to, i just thought that was a really weird to say why a food is good, "You can't even tell you are eating them!"[Edited on May 4, 2017 at 1:33 PM. Reason : .]
