i stumbled on this last night in a no sleep/adderall daze when i was trying to find a study guide and i thought i had been transported back to 2005 when message boards were still a thing. but wow, it's still here today when i'm not delirious? exciting stuff. this is like finding a fossil

You had Bubs at "no sleep/adderall daze"[Edited on April 17, 2017 at 3:23 PM. Reason : better?]
4/17/2017 3:16:39 PM
You went through the trouble of registration to say this?
4/17/2017 3:17:48 PM
I don't use Adderall
4/17/2017 3:20:12 PM
ah, the old using your NCSU email username for your TWW one
4/17/2017 3:24:43 PM
the adderall daze is the only way to study. or in my case, the only way to spend hours trying to find a specific study guide and not actually studying at all.and yes, paulisdead, i did in fact type in a username and click like two buttons to say this. a whole 2 minutes of trouble.
4/17/2017 3:26:50 PM
But its the current year
4/17/2017 3:27:57 PM
^yeah had immediate regrets about that choice but tbh i was just here to look through the study hall section. didn't think i'd even make a post so shrug
4/17/2017 3:28:41 PM
This isn't 2005, it's more like 2000-2002, with a bunch of 30 somethings still clinging to a small piece of their wonderful college careers, and it's a way that isn't facebook to keep in touch. It isn't for you, so just leave.
4/17/2017 3:28:59 PM
^ You sound like a fossil
4/17/2017 3:30:02 PM
ah, you guys must be the welcoming committee
4/17/2017 3:30:55 PM
well, lmbenson, this place can be pretty cool. stick around. Just stay out of the soap box
4/17/2017 3:55:25 PM
^^the real welcoming committee will come when they click your info and see the "gender: F" section[Edited on April 17, 2017 at 3:56 PM. Reason : f]
4/17/2017 3:55:50 PM
Hi lmbenson, I'm EMCE, your official tour guide. Welcome. I'm pretty terrible at my job, so I'm not actually going to show you around. But feel free to let me know if you have any questions, or just want to know who on this message board you should hate.
4/17/2017 3:58:35 PM
No no, by all means, come to the soapbox. We need some different opinions there.
4/17/2017 3:59:00 PM
Welcome to 2003. It's nice here even though it's a little quiet these days.
4/17/2017 4:03:36 PM
gender:F is all it takes to get a warm welcome? well that's easy enough. thanks for the tour and advice, guys (i assume). i just glanced at the soap box and i'm not sure i'd add a whole lot of variety to that conversation, unless you want to hear the opinions of yet another person who thinks donald trump is an ugly orange asshole. i think i'll steer clear of the political talk.2003 doesn't seem so bad. message boards were a big part of my childhood/teen years so this is pretty nostalgic. i guess some people thought the fossil comment as an insult but i meant it more like a paleontologist finding a t-rex tooth or some cool shit like that lol. i don't really know what paleontologists get excited about you get my point
4/17/2017 4:24:49 PM
well you just missed the egg hunt, which is the most exciting thing here.so stick around for a whole year and maybe TWW will last long enough to have another one.
4/17/2017 4:30:00 PM
this is a trap. if you're in college now, in 2005 you were just a child. If you are an older person going back to college you wouldnt be so struck by the novelty of a message board.QED
4/17/2017 4:56:32 PM
I know Benson...and you ma'am, are not Benson!

grad school, dude. i'm 23. i would have been in fifth grade in 2005, which was around the time i started using message boards. i randomly picked the year 2005 when i made this post so that's just a coincidence actually. and idk if i would say i'm struck at the novelty, more surprised to see one that's still pretty active. huh. my parents are going to be devastated when i tell them i'm adopted.

out of curiosity, how did you stumble across this gem known as TWW?
4/17/2017 5:31:55 PM
The Wolf Web is a giving place. It will return what you put into it and more.
4/17/2017 5:36:07 PM
maybe i'm no longer the youngest user here?
4/17/2017 5:36:08 PM
i was googling for the biochem study guide and there's still some from an old professor in the study hall board, so i joined so i could get that file. i started looking around the other boards and well, here i am.

To be a Redditor is to have an opinion about the flavor of dog shit.
4/17/2017 8:53:53 PM
^^I've been trying to get those soapbox a-holes to meet up for coffee one evening to talk about things IRL but nobody seems interested.
4/17/2017 8:53:55 PM
Lol someone on reddit is directing people here to find housing. Pretty sure we haven't had much activity in that area in like 10 years.https://www.reddit.com/r/raleigh/comments/65t2nv/homeless_help/

^^^Hit the nail on the head. I still love this site, and hate that so few are left. I've never been able to clarify why I like it so much, but I think it's the anonymity, and of course the shared demo. I think we all graduated from state between about 2001-2008.[Edited on April 18, 2017 at 2:29 PM. Reason : a]

I think what keeps drawing me here is the "community". The same fuckes that piss me off are often the same ones that are super helpful to me in TT/Old School/etc. It's a weird love/hate relationship I have with this site, but to me, it's really unique in the webosphere, to me. Plus, I'm just here to keep the "diversity" up. I also like the random humor that comes up from time to time. Can't wait to see how this site looks when we're all in our 80's.
4/18/2017 3:00:33 PM
^ and ^^Yep! I love the anonymity too. I remember someone on here was having some personal problems a few years ago and made a big long post seeking advise, but mainly they were just blowing some steam. I don't even remember what they said or who it was, but it isn't something that needed to be said in front of their family. Had they said what they said on facebook, or twitter it probably would have caused them some problems when their family and friends read it.Also, one time I was at a NYE party and saw these two fat girls make out with each other. One of them worked with me at the grocery store and most of the other guys and girls there worked at the same store. One of the guys from the store went in the bedroom with them and I could hear all of them moaning. Most people know about the other girl at the store that had sex with the manager in the meat cooler.btw, I have a gay cousin and not everyone in the family tree knows about this.Isn't TWW wonderful? If I was to go post all of the above comments on facebook I would probably embarrass a lot of people.
4/18/2017 7:54:47 PM
I'm so confused
4/18/2017 8:03:13 PM
^If you're talking to me I am just making a point about how you can get away with saying just about anything on here.

This lmbenson lady is substantially younger than me. Therefore, I must insist that she's a child, and any sexual and/or romantic attention directed her way is totally perverse. Eventually, I will have to direct my envious rage at her directly...offer up a super sweet guide as bait and then drain her fifth-grade-in-2005 blood for my future youth rituals.[Edited on April 18, 2017 at 11:46 PM.
