now i may mimic his movements while gesturing with my hands (inside of my office with the door closed, so no one thinks I'm crazy, of course) .

Lol, congrats man!I got the worst raise ever this year. So insulting. Somehow I'm "maxed" out on what I can earn because of the alleged median salary for my role or some nonsense like that.
2/8/2017 4:27:00 PM
Congrats
2/8/2017 4:43:59 PM
nice, we might not get raises this year, havent heard. glad i dont need more
2/8/2017 5:02:11 PM
^^^ yeah, I hear ya man. I've definitely had years like that. Its all about where you are on the ratio I guess.Current salary / average for your role (some ill defend group of people ) = your ratio = XThen your company has to decide if X (how compensated you are for your role relation to the market) is worth giving you a raise depending on your performance. Seems like a great way to incentivize crummy raises for most employees, as long as they keep a few super talented people happy. So, define whatever distribution you want.... maybe 15% get awesome raises, 35% get pretty good raises, and 50% get shitty raises while you give them some garbage about market averages.

3/28/2017 5:24:51 PM
on the last week of a promotion cycle ... if I pass the review process, I'll get that GS-14
3/28/2017 6:11:46 PM
Yeah, I got a raise...of less than 2%. Better than nothing I suppose.
3/29/2017 9:03:11 PM
3.45% here. that was basically the threshold i needed to not lose my shit, so I'll take it. I did also get some RSUs, which was a pleasant surprise and took me from neutral to content. Pretty grateful for those, really, since not everyone gets them.

Interviewed for an new job today...it will be a large pay increase on an hourly/daily basis, but it's part time. I'd say best case, it'll match my pay as a systems engineer. Worst case, at least a 15% pay cut...But it'll be here in town, where I'm not commuting 130 miles round trip, and I'll only be working about half-time! Screw it, I'm hitting the beach.
4/13/2017 6:15:52 PM
Accepted new job today...it'll be a 50% pay increase for the first couple of months of training, and after that it'll be working 2.5-3 days per week.

4/18/2017 7:43:13 PM
5% for the second year in a row and about 20% bonus
2/20/2018 2:26:10 PM
I wish I got bonuses
2/20/2018 2:59:47 PM
That amount could easily be half of what it was if the company didn't meet goals, though.[Edited on February 20, 2018 at 3:10 PM. Reason : Dj]

2/20/2018 4:50:13 PM
I finally got a good pay raise!I had to switch companies to do it, but hey!
2/20/2018 5:15:15 PM
Yea got my second paycheck of new job last Friday. Went like four years without a raise (aside from those passed by the NC Legislature) so not much upward mobility. 50% raise was pretty fucking awesome to see how much more my take home is.
2/21/2018 8:37:16 AM
Last year I got a 2.65% raise. This year it was 3.45%.
2/21/2018 10:17:33 AM
3.5% this year. Could've been better, could've been worse. Just had a round of layoffs, so just glad to still be around.
2/18/2019 10:25:18 AM
got 4%. I'm alright with that. w00t!
2/18/2019 11:03:34 AM
Noice!
2/18/2019 11:22:10 AM
Got a 10% raise couple weeks ago. That on top of my salary from job that I got last year means that I am making about 75% more than I was in 2017 at my last job.
2/18/2019 12:53:43 PM
It might have only been incremental, but I count all raises as wins
3/5/2019 10:42:01 PM
