The last individual series before the big team up in The Defenders. This new trailer looks pretty good to me, although plot wise it does seem almost exactly like season 1 of CW's Arrow https://youtu.be/f9OKL5no-S0
2/7/2017 12:15:31 PM
yup, looks good
2/7/2017 2:31:18 PM
Media got the first 6 episodes, early reviews are not great.
3/8/2017 11:59:25 AM
That's disheartening.
3/8/2017 12:13:53 PM
Yeah from what I've seen it looks like the lead pick here was a misstep. Does not look like he's up to carrying a series.
3/8/2017 12:23:14 PM
http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/tv/news/iron-fist-season-1-episode-netflix-review-finn-jones-danny-rand-a7618121.htmloof, pretty brutal considering how critics tend to want to ignore the issues on some of the other series.
3/8/2017 12:29:22 PM
He was a great flamboyant prince, however!
3/8/2017 1:15:44 PM
Bummer. Have been looking forward to this. Hopefully it won't negatively affect the Defenders.
3/8/2017 1:46:02 PM
Yeah worst part is it sounds like the fights in this aren't great which is a problem because this character should be the best actual fighter out of the defenders crew. This is the one role where they had to get the physical aspects right and they seem to have whiffed.
3/8/2017 1:57:28 PM
3/8/2017 4:26:40 PM
That sucks. When I first heard about these shows coming to Netflix this was the one I was most excited about.
3/9/2017 7:38:25 AM
First episode is okay, not exactly lighting any fires, but it's not terrible. The fight scenes are terribly executed and some of the dialog is , especially the homeless dude in the park 'hey man, this is an iphone, you can look up anyone on the internet'
3/17/2017 7:09:18 PM
I'm through the first four, it's nothing special, but better than what I was expecting from all the reviews.
3/17/2017 9:48:51 PM
From a reddit comment about episode 2"Apparently her training program for at-risk youths is to teach them how to mug people with overwhelming numbers."lulz
3/17/2017 11:32:28 PM
^her doing that actually kind of makes sense later. I've only got 2 episodes left, and it's pretty bad. Danny is a huge whiny ass bitch that constantly makes decisions that are either nonsensical or just plain awful. Instead of spending any meaningful time focusing on the mystical land of k'un-l'un, which could actually be interesting, they spend the majority of the season on bullshit corporate politics.
3/18/2017 8:35:43 PM
Oh, this guy is about to let my out the psych ward and believes I'm Danny Rand? I better tell him about Nirvana and other dimensions.
3/18/2017 8:42:24 PM
I just finished. It's so fucking bad, I kept hoping maybe it would get better, I think it actually got worse
3/19/2017 2:13:42 PM
I just finished with 3, it's not getting much better. The fight scene with the girl and 300lb+ pure muscle dude was terrible
3/19/2017 4:21:11 PM
it falls squarely between daredevil and arrow for fight choreography
3/19/2017 5:15:30 PM
which season of arrow?
3/19/2017 5:23:21 PM
I don't understand this Ward guy at end of episode 4.."I'm going to go drunkenly bitch to a reporter about how Danny Rand stood up for the poor people" and then he's surprised it makes the news painting Danny in a positive light? All these characters are just so comically stupid.
3/19/2017 5:31:03 PM
No ones actions or motivations make a damn lick of sense the entire series. Every single character makes idiotic decisions, or has an unexplainable reactions to something, then flip flops every other episode.
3/19/2017 5:47:15 PM
I'm confused, are Ward and Joy fucking? Like Lannisters?
3/19/2017 7:08:23 PM
Made it in about 10 episodes so far. It's not bad, but it's not the same quality as the other 3 Netflix shows.
3/20/2017 7:46:59 AM
No way an iPod battery is still working that well after so many years. My issue is the same as everyone else's. The decisions the main character makes just doesn't make any sense. Life isn't so different now than it was when he disappeared, except for the advent of a smartphone, not a whole lot has changed. So why does he think it is ok to just go to the executive suite of his parents company and not have any issues.
3/20/2017 8:58:54 AM
This show was a mess and the main character actor was pretty terrible throughout.
3/20/2017 10:38:34 AM
So was Harold brought back to life with that big pot they found at the end of the second season of Daredevil?
3/20/2017 11:09:32 AM
There few episodes where shaky as hell, but the more I watched, the more I was able to enjoy it. Sure there are some points where I was like, "what the hell are they thinking," and, "well that sure was an odd reaction," but when I look at it overall, I feel it had a good story and meshed well. I like Danny as person over Matthew Murdock, but I enjoyed Daredevil over IronFist. I was spoiled with Luke Cage, that was excellent and damn near a perfect execution. If this is as bad as they can get, then they are doing a damn good job. III
3/20/2017 12:02:10 PM
You thought Luke Cage was perfect even after the mid point?
3/20/2017 5:02:36 PM
Luke cage is great but it draaaags in the middle
3/20/2017 5:27:04 PM
LC was great right until they introduced Diamondback.
3/21/2017 7:16:34 AM
Almost done with it. It could be better, but it isn't the worst show I've seen. Better than most shows on the big 3. However, I could barely watch that drunken master fight.
3/21/2017 10:38:49 AM
Yeah, I thought LC was pretty damn solid. It dragged some in the middle, but that is as perfect a show you can get, I think. I expect shows to have some flaws, but Luke Cage had very little. Diamondback was great IMO, the way he went out was suspect as hell though...I hope he comes back. And Finally finished IronFist. The last episode was pretty uninspiring. I was all in until then, it was almost like it was a rush job to finish.Still not a bad show, I would still tell others to watch. III
3/21/2017 12:12:53 PM
The problem with Diamondback coming in is the series shifts tonally so much that it doesn't fit as well with what came before. It goes more camp blaxploitation angle where the first half feels more spike lee urban drama. Both sides are fine but it makes things a bit more disjointed
3/21/2017 1:10:34 PM
My bad.... I was misspeaking. I was typing diamondback, and meant cottonmouth. Yeah, Diamondback threw in a strange wrinkle, and it changed the flow of the show, but I appreciated the change. I liked cottonback's character much more and it should have been stretched out, but Diamondback added another layer that kept me interested. III
3/21/2017 1:48:10 PM
I'm going to guess that not too many people are watching Iron Fist without being up on the other series, so why is it that Madame Gao is in the shadows for the first 5 episodes when we already know who she is?
3/23/2017 7:33:58 PM
just finished itehhhhhh.
3/23/2017 8:17:17 PM
RIP Kyle, you made the mistake of wanting vanilla icecream
3/24/2017 5:53:52 PM
ehhh is right for this show
3/24/2017 11:07:49 PM
The ending made no goddamn sense.
3/26/2017 10:31:55 PM
How so? Him going back to K'un L'un? Or it not being there?
3/27/2017 7:17:56 AM
Joy wanting him dead
3/27/2017 7:24:18 AM
Yeah, that was a big wtf for me too.[Edited on March 27, 2017 at 7:26 AM. Reason : $$$]
3/27/2017 7:25:39 AM
She ended up leaving Harold because she saw how dangerous he had become and was singing Danny's praises for 99.9% of the show, and then suddenly approaching Davos with 'Lets kill him!'
3/27/2017 7:56:23 AM
wasn't davos approaching her? the shot ends with her with a kind of shocked face before it moves to madam gao
3/28/2017 1:34:40 AM
Yeah I think he approached her, but I definitely got the impression that she was down, which makes no god damn sense.
3/28/2017 7:49:38 AM
Really disappointed in this show.
3/29/2017 7:28:05 AM
3/30/2017 4:49:03 PM
yeah, ending is wtf.
4/2/2017 6:39:59 PM
Season 2 trailer is out...not sure how I feel about this yet. Having Misty Knight improves the chances I'll watch it, but I'll probably end up disappointed by a one-episode cameo instead of her having a season-long presence. I didn't find Danny as annoying when he showed up in Luke Cage season 2, so maybe they're getting better at writing him. And now that he's wearing a mask they should be able to do more with fight choreography.
