Veggies as sides. Not a ton of pasta, or rice.Booze, meh... I might buy a 6pack on Sunday, and the. Pick up another the following Friday. Maybe a glass or two of wine.

GOUT I remember my Uncle occasionally complaining about his gout acting up. I read gout is part lifestyle, and art of it is a heriditsary predisposition to it.It hurts like hell. I can't even walk right.

Unless it weighs enough that you are considered morbidly obese simply because of its massiveness.

I, too, have gout I never had any issues until last year when I had my first attack and this was like 6+ months after I had COVID. Prednisone is a miracle, but trying to get to the root of it is a huge pain/mystery because I can't seem to nail down what triggers it (diet/hereditary/booze/stubbing my toe, etc)

Yeah, you have my sympathies. I have had a few flare ups since I was diagnosed. I still haven't been able to pinpoint a root causeI had a flare up once when I was abstaining from alcohol for about a year. I've had a flare up when I was eating little to no red meat, pork, or shellfish. I'm fairly active. Canned meats and fish aren't really part of my diet.Shit blows, mang

I have an appointment with a specialist, but "DUE TO COVID" it's not until October. I've been reading up on allopurinol and a lot of people who've tried everything else swear by it, but in the meantime I've really cut back on drinking and been trying to be a lot more active this past year, along with eating way less meat and a lot more vegetables. But man, when a flare turns into an all out attack, HO-LEE-SHEEEET. Feels like getting shot in the leg with shotgun and then having someone pour gasoline all over and then throwing a lit match on top of it. Oh, and then fire ants attack what's left of your charred flesh.
