Anyone else excited about this show? Features Tom Hardy, and Ridley Scott is one of the executive producers. Has potential to be great I think. Series premier was last night.

Has something to do with the East India Company. That's about all I know at this point.

I plan on checking this out, I've only seen a handful of commercials for it, and most of them were on mute, so I have absolutely no idea what it is about, but the visuals alone were intriguing enough to give it a shot.

^^^^I feel like this synopsis should suffice (sorry if spoilerish):James Delaney, believed dead, returns from Africa to London in 1814 to attend his father's funeral and to claim his inheritance - an inheritance that is worthless, other than a small piece of land in a disputed area between Great Britain and the United States, whom are at war.

I was pretty disappointed with the first episode after coming in with high-ish expectations. The dialogue is awful, and i'm not sure there's much to the plot beyond a generic revenge fantasy. Will probably stick around for the rest of the first season though since it's only 6 episodes and i'm a sucker for period pieces.

Is the Taboo he is in love with his half sister?

Just came here to say I really enjoyed it and see a lot of potential with this one. Agree that the dialogue could be improved, but it's a cool premise. I've heard rumors we might be hiring Julius Hodge as our next bball coach.

I was having trouble staying awake during a sequence of late scenes last night...I don't know if this is because they were boring or I was just really tired, probably a little of both

Episode 2 has drawn me in further.

This show is f'n badass. I'm only two episodes in and i'm hooked.

Agreed. One of my favorites on television right now.

pretty awesome penultimate episode. Also see that FX is labeling next week as the "season" finale as opposed to the series finale. I was kind of hoping this would all be wrapped up in mini-series type fashion, but it looks like there may be more taboo ahead.

I mean, there better be. Way too many things have just been "hinted" at throughout the season.
