Approximately 30 dead as truck drives into a crowd at Bastille day celebration in Nice. Authorities treating this as an attack, not an accident.

No information on the driver as yet.

Authorities had upped the alert level in advance of Bastille day.

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-36800730

Photos seem to show windshield of truck was shot up, indicating police may have killed the driver. Looking less likely this was an accident.

Jesus, info keeps getting worse. At least 30 dead, 100 plus injured. Driver also fired into crowd and then was killed by police.

Seeing on twitter there may be a hostage situation, and there were more shooters in the back of the truck.
https://www.reddit.com/live/x99pqdwudg0l/

Apparently some people died in a stampede trying to get away from the truck, might be up to 60.

Yeah, this one is shaping up to be really, really bad. Seen some video on Twitter of a stretch of road just littered with bodies. Blood everywhere, might be the worst thing I've ever seen on video.

Daily mail and others now reporting hostage situation at Meridian hotel and an attached restaurant.

This could end up being worse than the Bataan attack. Sky reports 60 dead from truck alone already.

^ if that happened, the attacks would get worse. ISIS would have a true enemy to target.

Trump is probably the Islamic's State dream presidential candidate.

Death toll up to 73.

No hostage situation according to French authorities.

Multiple sources reporting ISIS has claimed responsibility. ISIS sources sending out photos celebrating attacks.

ISIS wants nothing more than far right/fascist ideologies to gain power in western governments.

Hillary helped produce this clusterfuck; I'd think ISIS would be more appreciative of her being in command than Trump.

Just remember how ISIS began. We invaded Iraq unnecessarily and destabilized the region. The Iraq War will be remembered as one of the gravest mistakes in modern history.

^ this

For what it's worth (this is referencing Earl), Clinton and Trump both poll about equal on their terrorism response. It's one area where her Hawkish history probably helps her. And one where Trump is seen as hypocritical in that he can't preach near isolationism and then act like he wants to start WW3.

I thought ISIS was formed as a result of making Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi the primary translator/communicator between American troops and the other prisoners in Bucca. When everyone was released the most radical kept following and taking orders from Abu Bakr. We basically created the organization and their infrastructure in a prison yard.

this apparently needs to be repeated for those in here too stupid to understand how Hillary did her fair share to make the situation worse. The Iraq invasion may have been a clusterfuck, but we didn't need to double down on the situation.
