Say, studies started showing links between the amount of pollution and violent crime. What would happen in this country?

by "links", do you mean simply a positive correlation or scientific proof of causation?is this about the leaded gasoline/crime rate correlation?

People would post jpegs of minions and simple sentences about Monsanto, vaccinated, GMO and cite the source from some crazies blog

It wasn't an argument. It's a question.

^^ come onnnnnnnnnnnnn buddy that's not even remotely a strawman. You could stretch for false equivalence if you were desperate, but that would be dumb too.

i would enact stricter punishments for violent crimes, to bring pollution down

It would depend on how strong the link was. Does pollution influence crime rates by 5% or 75%? You'd need good evidence well into 30+% range to get any movement out of our shitty government.[Edited on June 2, 2016 at 9:28 AM. Reason : Causation already exists between lead and a tendency toward reactionary violent crime]
