You guys playing the beta?

LOL EA really screwed up this one. I know it is just the beta but there is a glitch that makes EVERYONE spawn without guns. So unless you are quick enough to get a tank/plane/horse, its just a bunch of people running around unable to hurt each other. I did get a plane but the game doesn't seem to have joystick support and I couldn't really control it that well with the default settings. Got a horse too but some guy ran me over with a jeep before I could do much.

I know these days people think beta = demo, but glitches in the beta should be expected.

i have not experienced the no-gun glitch, so far the only problem (and its a big annoying one) is that when i press pause the game absolutely freezes for about a minute. this is really annoying because i am used to going back and checking the scoreboard when i die, so basically every time i get killed the game freezes for me.

i mostly like the game but there are a few things i don't like that are mostly just things i need to adjust to from BF4. It's harder to identify enemies vs friendlies for me and i haven't figured out exactly why yet, it may just be that i need more playing time to get familiar with them. The guns are okay but i don't like iron sights and will miss red-dot sights. the only things aircraft should be doing in conquest is taking out enemy tanks (its the only way they can help objective, they aren't very effective against infantry) but i never see anyone doing this. i think the tank play is pretty interesting, it will be fun to squad up and use a tank. horses are brilliant for roadkills, you just have to barely touch the person and you get a kill, i think horse roadkills might be my highest weapon right now.

i hadn't planned on buying this from what i've seen on youtube, but playing it has been enjoyable so far. My plan had been to get Titanfall 2 and keep playing BF4 and skip this, but the Titanfall 2 tech test was such a dissapointment for me that i've changed my plans.

Tried some server hopping, the 8th one I got into let me use guns. Got booted from the server at some point though but when I got back in I once again didn't have any guns .

The iron sights thing hasn't really bothered me (for the one time I did get to shoot stuff) -- I think they are trying to go for accuracy here, so they are keeping it to WWI level tech.

^Same here. Very similar to Battlefront in terms of gameplay. Doesn't really feel like anything new aside from being in a WWI setting.

It's the same ol battlefield for me. Enjoyable at times but big maps with 64 lead to zero to little teamwork/vehicle abuse/just total choas. My buddy is getting it so it will be homeshared to me but I think I'd pass.

Don't get me wrong, love the weapons, the graphics, but the core gameplay of battlefield just isn't appealing to me

I was hoping for more barebones, historically accurate WW1 weapons and vehicles, but it plays exactly like the other battlefields since they said fuck it and kept SMGs/LMGs and super effective tanks.

^^Yeah I was wondering about that. I'm no WWI weapons expert by any means, but I figured that the average foot soldier in WWI had at most a bolt action rifle. Figured I was wrong after seeing so many fully-auto and handheld weapons. This was the first major war that even had fully automatic rifles, I figured they'd all be huge/mounted.
