I went to my master's departmental graduation - I didn't go to my undergrad one - didn't feel like sitting in PNC for 3 hours around strangers.

Still have my hood - not sure about the gown though.

I have a friend who faked his graduation years ago. he bought a cap and gown and they went to the "big" graduation, and skipped the departmental one. fooled his parents, grandparents, and numerous other family members... for a while.
