On right now, new show, but my guide doesn't have it on again the rest of the week, at least in this timeslot.Good stuff. Kinda like TDS/Colbert before Comedy Central got B-list hosts

I like the idea that Jon Stewart (star of Short Attention Span Theater) and Stephen Colbert (supporting player on cable sitcom Strangers With Candy) were not B-list hosts when they started. This is not to disparage them; Stewart was close to taking over for Letterman in 1993, but a 12:30 TV show is the very definition of B-list.Stewart & Colbert made themselves A-listers through their work. TDS and an 11:30 cable show are not A-list jobs.[Edited on February 9, 2016 at 1:54 PM. Reason : 4]

it's not like Stewart had his own late night talk show for 2 years before TDS or anything

Zach Galifiankis had his own show half a decade before becoming an A-list celebrity

It lasted 2 years. And he had bigger stars on it than Larry Wilmore or Trevor Noah had ever messed with.I guess my biggest mistake was calling Wilmore and Noah B-list when they're more like C- or D-list.Meanwhile, Sam B did her thing last night, in case anyone other than me actually watched the topic of the thread.Format is no guests, but basically like a 15-minute "monologue" / joke session, then one of the on-site interviews / stories like TDS and TCR did so well. At least that's how the premiere went.Bottom line is Sam B has more TDS and other comedy clout than any of the current 11pm-12am Comedy Central hosts, which should've been pretty obvious as my points in the OP.

Samantha Bee rules, but her comedy clout is nowhere near as large as Larry Wilmores
