Anyone see the pilot of this? A collection of lesser known heroes (and a few villains) from the DC universe that the Flash and Arrow on CW recently resurrected. Watched the first episode the other day, it wasn't bad but there was still quite a bit of cheese. Pleased to see Vandal Savage as a dedicated villain in a show, I think Flash and Arrow did a great job of introducing him.


Feel kinda bad for Brandon Routh though. He went from playing one of the most popular and recognizable superheroes in the world on the big screen to playing a knockoff Iron Man on tv. He wasn't a bad Superman either, he just didn't really have a great script to work with.

I watched, thought it was decent enough I'll watch again. Hard to watch the two guys from Prison Break & not think of Prison Break though.

I though there was a decent amount of humor & entertainment...the bad guy bounty hunter guy was a bit cheesy, like a bad sci-fi cheezy, but it has promise to me mainly on the premise that they can jump to different points in history so lots to work with there.

I think my favorite part was the bar brawl because the premise was kind of ridiculous. This big tough guy comes up and pretty much tries to abduct a significantly smaller girl right in front of everyone in broad daylight. After she kicks his ass, random guys from the bar start flying in out of nowhere to attack her. Like these guys were so loyal to their friend that they are going to try and beat her up for defending herself.

Also, how did that bounty hunter even stand a chance against all of them? Once Firestorm and the Atom flew out, they should have been able to wipe the floor with him. Hell, even if they didn't want to kill him, Captain Cold could have just shot his legs with the ice beam or something.

Still, I don't understand how none of them have gotten shot yet. The only one that has any type of bullet proof armor is the Atom, and that is only when he has his suit on. They were at a freaking terrorist market where armed guards were walking around and not a single one of them was shot? What about when Savage's henchmen walked up? They would have opened fire on them immediately.

Also, yes, the time machine thing kind of negates all of this. Hawkgirl has been killed like 200 times by Savage in prior lives. With a little meditating, she can remember just about anything from a previous life IE WHERE AND WHEN Savage killed her and/or Carter. Here's an idea, go back to 5 mins before he killed her and just jump him. Mission failed? Okay, go back 50 years into the past from when he killed her before and try again. Or just go Terminator style and do it when he was a baby. I get that the guy is immortal but he had to be a kid at some point. I guess that could mess with the timeline or something, but if they kill him at all in any time period it will do that.

Sara is looking rough in this show compared to on Arrow. I can't stand the way she talks either.

I know they couldn't do it in the opening episodes but I really hope the show doesn't try to shoehorn every single member into an episode's plot line. They need to focus entire story arcs and/or eps around 1 or 2 members at a time.

Add me to the hate Hawkpeople list. Just awful casting and annoying characters.

I am, to my own surprise, really liking this show so far, and flash is still great, arrow definitely isn't as good as first couple seasons, but still well worth the watch. I love this shared universe.

I find it odd that some you guys are asking certain questions knowing full well that it's a show based on an over the top comic book. They aren't hiding that fact. And this shit isn't Chris Nolan Dark Knight. You know this already.

I have multiple comic books where Batman and Robin are dodging all the bullets while monologing. I have one where Alfred asked Batman what he wanted for breakfast while Batman is hanging on the side of a Jumbo Jet.

You asked an asinine question. This is not CSI. It would have shocked me is any of them DID get shot. They're a group of superheroes and supervillians travelin thru time wreck less. They are in no kind of danger. Trust.

Did you freak out when Captain cold and Atom were trapped in Vandel sercurity cage? When firestorm self exploded the nuclear bomb on some random island outside did you calculate the possibility of it happening?

The show is story driven it's not going to take the time showing everyone getting shot in a battle. Especially superheroes. It has a show to do.

seems the budget for this show must be on the low side, the special effects & locations are all pretty cheesy. I'm hoping this gets better, I'll keep watching for a little bit but I don't have high hopes on this making it more than a couple of seasons.

I think it is getting better but still has a long way to go. Captain Cold and Heatwave are the only ones I'm really liking though.
