You can no longer live withing walking distance to Jax as it has closed and the building was demolished to make way for a gargantuan drug store.

If you change it to say "=no" it still gives you the report. The system is rude like that.

I don't think you could pay me to buy a house on Brent Road.

Great deck for entertaining

No HOA

This listing must be known for dramatic understatements.

How is Brent Road these days? Is it still a lot of college rentals?

The house actually looks pretty good. Would like to check out that workshop and that backyard is huge.

^ wouldn't be surprised if the Preiss company jumped on it as a capstone gem to complete its crown of preying on college real estate

Well that's unfortunate. Not a bad location with the proximity to the school and a quick jump on the beltline.

a lot of the rest of that neighborhood has young families and is still a pretty good location for affordable housing ITB*, just not on Brent Rd

[Edited on January 26, 2016 at 11:15 AM. Reason : *not real ITB, but you can at least claim ITB to OTB people]

That fool that got on city council (Benson Kirkman) ran all the students out, not sure what kind of other people he expected to rent a bunch of run down duplexes....he ended up selling his house and moving once his reign of terrorizing students was over.

he was my neighbor when i lived on brent road and he was a complete dick. one day at 8PM on a Saturday he gave us shit for being noisy outside when we were grilling because it was his relaxing time. he also called the cops on us several times during my stay there.

He is still on some advisory council for west Raleigh, you will see his name pop up in the news occasionally.
