Of course Tahoe is getting all kinds of snow the year I can't make it out there

This is the first year since 2000 that I don't have a ski trip planned. Bad scheduling and financial conflicts are preventing any trips this year.

Only have about 16-18 days of skiing in so far this season. Been pretty light. Although this past weekend there was almost a foot and we had a great time at Winter Park.

Well if you were planning on a ski trip up here to Vermont I would consider bailing. This is the worst season we have had in at least 30 years according to some who have been around awhile. Many of the mountains are 25% or below of normal to date. The big blizzard missed completely up here and any robust storm systems appear they will do the same next week.

Banff was awesome. We skied Sunshine, Lake Louise, and Kicking Horse. Unfortunately, one of my buddies blew out his ACL on the first day, resulting in an ER trip. The next day, I did a stupid and made a lazy turn down a steep, falling for about 40 seconds before I could come to a stop. I need to splice the footage from my gopro with my buddy's POV, but here's what he saw (I'm the dumbass in the green)

I wish I could have gone out West at least once. It was the worst ski season in history here in Vermont. The mountains ended up at 15-25% of normal snowfall for this season. I never want to see a winter like this one again.

^^Haha that's awesome he got it in camera! I've done that a bunch of times. When it's wind blown and icy like that you can essentially keep sliding until you can stop yourself.

^^^ looks crusty. Steep Ice, yah you ain't stopping once you get momentum.Nice edit on the Utah 2015 video. Camera work and editing is more interesting than the skiing though. Also, I haven't heard BHG in a while, thanks for that.

Damn I wish I could get to the mountains. They may get 2-4 feet of snow over the next couple of days. The interstate already shut down. Lucky bastards who live up there...

the snow storm DUMPED this weekend! i'm so jealous of all the folks that don't have to study and were able to get out in. the videos of fresh powder are ridiculous.
