This movie was AWESOME. All the things I loved about Moneyball with a plot that all of us can connect to because we lived through it and are still affected by it.It's the most I've ever enjoyed Christian Bale. Ryan Gosling was superb and Steve Carell continues to be great in dramatic roles. All around A+.

Please tell me it's better than the trailer. After the 5th time, I got kind of sick of hearing "bankers==fradusters". I GET IT. I actually read the book a few years back and found it fascinating, but the trailer has turned me off.

I, too, have not been a fan of any of the trailers I've seen, but there are too many talented people involved for me to not see it

The best way I can describe it is a mix between Moneyball and Pirates of Silicon Valley. With a bit of the high testosterone levels of Wolf of Wall Street/American Hustle.I also found it incredibly educational. They break the 4th wall frequently to explain things to those who don't understand banking or real estate lingo, and they do it in a way that is helpful and entertaining without being condescending.Be warned though...true stories are always the most depressing because you know it's real. Although the characters are likable and dramatized, the reliving of just how bad the world economy became because of greed is more saddening than I thought it would be. There is a lot of interacting with side characters who represent the middle class and it makes everything feel more personal and real.[Edited on December 23, 2015 at 3:59 PM. Reason : -]

I too thoroughly enjoyed it. So did the non-financially interested people I know that saw it. That said, I would not have made the bets made in the movie: As was said in the movie, any bank dumb enough to take the bet offered won't be around to pay up...except that they all got paid...making me the idiot!

Finally saw this and loved it, but could have done with more Margot Robbie bathtub scenes.

Was looking up the top grossing films of 2015 and saw that this movie made less money than Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2
