^ do you think it will make big-time news? it completely indicts and demolishes policy which comes from the very top of the chain.anyway, my link has a video of him. so unless he is lying or he is an impostor and not a former DEA agent, what he says is true.the link also says:

this won't even make small news

I'm sure there's a more popular thread this should go in, but good for Rand Paul http://www.cnn.com/2017/05/15/opinions/sessions-is-wrong-rand-paul-opinion/index.html
5/15/2017 4:23:47 PM
Fuck Rand Paul. He voted for this when he voted to confirm Sessions.Sessions has been the same prick for decades on this stuff.
5/15/2017 4:46:59 PM
Fair enough.... at least he's speaking out on this particular issue.
5/15/2017 4:57:26 PM
Rand post-Sessions confirmation:
5/15/2017 5:03:04 PM
Or maybe democrats could learn a new trick besides character assassinations to push their socialist bullshit?
5/15/2017 5:10:24 PM
Or maybe Rand could develop a spine and fight for what he thinks is right instead of toeing the GOP line of "sticking it to the democrats" every time his fee-fees get hurt.I mean seriously, what a god damn snowflake.
5/15/2017 5:21:19 PM
Maybe he thinks bullshit character assassination attempts aren't right, and he realizes the left's abuse of that is more detrimental to our country than policy he disagrees with.
5/15/2017 5:28:04 PM
That sounds like a good campaign add for Rand:"Rand Paul, making hard choices and standing against injustices like the drug war.....and calling out racists."I bet that goes over bigly in Kentucky, all those libertarians living on their black lung disability payments are damn sick of racists being called out. Who stands with them????[Edited on May 15, 2017 at 6:04 PM. Reason : Calling someone a racist? Why that's the most significant problem this country faces. Who will ma]
5/15/2017 6:02:33 PM
No, the problem isn't "calling out racists"... it's calling anything and everything you disagree with politically as being ____ist or ____phobic. It's led to a huge divide in our country between those that are gullible enough to fall for that shit (leftists) and people who see that bullshit for what it is (everyone else). So yea, the left devolving every issue into "Agree with this socialist shit or you're a ___ist" is a huge problem. But the DNC has doubled down on it
5/15/2017 6:20:02 PM
How bout this, instead of whining about your feelings why don't you defend Jeff Sessions' crusade against smoking pot? You guys seem to be on the same page about "isms" so why don't you let us in on the wisdom of mandating the longest possible sentence against low-level drug defenders?
5/15/2017 6:32:37 PM
You're the one that got triggered by Rand Paul, don't project your emotions on me son.I fully support Jeff Sessions making pot offenses stricter if it will trigger you Bernie Bot pot heads.
5/15/2017 6:44:26 PM
Once again, conservatives prove that their most important motivation is sticking it to democrats. It's the exact same reason Rand voted for Sessions, it clearly motivates 95% of what the alt-right does, the mass obstruction toward Obama. Didn't someone post the article today that made that argument?*****
5/15/2017 6:50:24 PM
5/15/2017 7:02:52 PM
Admittedly, I do gun for him. It's because I really do think he stakes out areas of semi-bipartisanship. But some of his votes are bogus and do not compute.
5/15/2017 7:17:15 PM
Could someone please resize that huge honkin image?

5/16/2017 10:38:39 AM
5/16/2017 12:12:31 PM
And the leftist media has spun that to convince you it is a bad thing because ______?I know leftists have difficulty with the concept of "enforcing the laws" because laws are all ____ist and ____phobic... but for normal people that don't have their world views shaped by the NYT/CNN, getting drugs off the street is a good thing.
5/16/2017 2:12:40 PM
Imprisoning users for possession for maximum terms does nothing to get drugs off the street in any meaningful way.
5/16/2017 2:25:25 PM
Yea I definitely don't need the media to tell me that imprisonong someone for 2 years for possession of an oz. of weed is grossly unjust.
5/16/2017 2:37:26 PM
Not even getting into whether the policies are unjust or racist (which it is) and assuming it actually worked in the first place (which it doesn't), why is spending a ton of money on policing and prisons to get marijuana off the street a good thing?
5/16/2017 2:55:30 PM
I can't imagine being a dude and getting caught with an ounce...and then going to prison for two years where I might have to endure multiple rapes, routinely witness extreme violence, and eventually get a swastika tattoo on my neck.Still, I like my candidates to be tough on crime. Won't have 'em any other way, and I'm glad to pay as much as it takes to keep those bad hombres off the streets and away from our precious children.
5/17/2017 1:18:23 AM
who has gone to prison for years for a couple ounces of weed? i don't think that happens, everi get that somebody selling some crack to pay the rent isn't a big deal, but transforming the situation to possesion of weed = federal prison isn't helping anythingcrowded prisons of non-violent drug offenders are NOT a bunch of people who got caught with weed[Edited on May 17, 2017 at 1:36 AM. Reason : ][Edited on May 17, 2017 at 1:37 AM. Reason : .]
5/17/2017 1:34:53 AM
Well it's no where near a majority, but the numbers are pretty significant for weed:
5/17/2017 6:57:04 AM
What Sessions is doing is going back to enforcing the law as passed by congress. It's a welcome change from the past 8 years. If you think drug dealers are victims and if you think the law is racist then focus your #Outrage on congress rather than whomever the Leftist FakeNews tells you to hate.
5/17/2017 11:22:14 AM
He's pushing prosecutors to throw the book at defendants for all drug related charges. That's not enforcing the law as much as pushing an agenda, and feeding the corporate prison machine.
5/17/2017 11:46:05 AM
For someone who cares very little about the overall wellbeing of people it's odd JCE finds it so important to throw people who harm themselves and sell those harmful things into jail. Very strange.
5/17/2017 11:56:41 AM
I'm honestly not familiar with the law specifically, but:

Portugal is great. I am trying to carve out time to go back soon.
5/18/2017 8:31:14 AM
JESUS SAID MARRYWHANNAH IS A SIN, SO I THINK THE DRUG USERS SHOULD BE ARRESTED AND SENT STRAIGHT TO PRISON, NO TRIAL CAUSE THEY ARE ALREADY GUILTY SINCE THEY ARE CARRYING ILLEGAL DRUGS.
5/18/2017 8:57:47 AM
If a disparate number of people in race X commit crime Y, the law making Y illegal must be racist. People who want to enforce the law must be racist. The law is racist. I must bypass the democratic process and congress because they are racist. People that choose to do drugs are not simply dealing with the results of their choices, they are victims that need my help!
5/18/2017 9:53:42 AM
You've confused committed with convicted.
5/18/2017 10:23:16 AM
JCE has no reason why doing and carrying drugs should involve a prison sentence outside of "because that's the way it is"If our forefathers thought speeding should carry a 5 year prison sentence this guy would be supporting it.
5/18/2017 11:10:34 AM
I still call bs that all those prison sentences were for people who just had their own personal smoke sack. You don't get sent to prison for simple possession of marijuana. If somebody had an ounce broken up into 60 bags, that's another story, and while it's pretty harmless, it's very different than locking up someone in prison for being simply a user.
5/18/2017 11:50:05 AM
I know a few people who were thrown in jail for smoking weed outside. Not prison but still annoying.

OMG HE SMOKED A PLANT! LET ME PAY MORE IN TAXES TO ARREST, JAIL, SEND TO TRIAL, AND IMPRISON THIS PERSON!
5/18/2017 1:53:54 PM
We have to ask the question - what is the purpose of prison? Is it just a holding place to keep undesirables off the street? Or do people in our justice system really think they are rehabilitating people when they send them to prison.Weed shouldn't be illegal, but until it isn't, we have to enforce laws. You can't just let people break laws and get away with it. So what should be the penalty? Fines? The same people that are being unjustly put in jail for smoking weed would be the same people that wouldn't be able to pay the fines. Inability to pay fines would eventually lead to warrants, which would eventually, in many cases, still lead to jail.So if you can't put them in jail, and you can't fine them, what's left? Community service?
5/18/2017 2:05:48 PM
If someone gets a fine and don't pay it there's a process in place. Why would smoking or injesting an illegal substance and getting a fine any different?
5/18/2017 2:18:35 PM
^because religion & racism, the foundations for our war on drugs
