I figure we should get a little list together in case Doeren gets the boot after he has another 0 ACC win season.

Ill start with my top 3:

1. Richard Roderiguez- He would kill in ACC with his spread, just as he did at WVU
2. Joe Philbin- The Dolphins coach who just got fired- I think Tannihill was the problem there, and recruits love coachs who've been to "The Show".
3. Al Fracassa- Considered one of the top ten highschool football coaches in the country. Maybe we can scoop our own Saban outta the low ranks before the big boys get him.

So who do yall want?

Screw Dick Fraud. He's a scum bag that would leave us high and dry the moment he wins a game. Plus he wouldn't leave a good Pac 12 program for the worst p5 conference.

And no to philbin. He was the problem in Miami.

We need to look at coordinators in the pac 12, big 10, and sec.

Dick Fraud couldn't hack it in the big boy seat at Notre dam, but his crunk spread would be like Duke's Mayo compared to fedoras Hellman's.

It would be like delicious Eastern style bbq, compared to that disgusting sugary western style crap.

Mark Richt. Dude would dominate the ACC using his SEC recruiting ties.

If not him, go for a coordinator. The last two hires of current head coaches hasn't worked.

Brent Venables, DC from Clemson, could be a good option.

He has experience in the ACC, is a good recruiter, and will help change us from the worst base defensive formation. And he's pretty young too.

Oh yea, Venables is great young coach. But its so hard to poach from a fellow ACC school. I know we did it with TOBY, but that ended in dumpster esque fashion.

I'd also like to proffer another young stud, Mr. P.J. Fleck from Central Michigan. He's just 34 years old, and has really turned Central Michigan around already. They had one of the top offenses in the MAC last season. Could probably be had on the cheap as well.

Philbin is an eeyore level moping pussy. No thanks

We're still a year and a half out from this being a reality. We'll bumble our way to a bowl this year and save Doerknob then it'll be up to the new QB and Samuels to save his job next season.

call me crazy, but we need to throw MILLIONS at Scott Linehan. He played under Dennis Erickson in college and has coached under some great coaches -- John L Smith, Nick Saban, and Jason Garrett

I think he'd actually come here, too

His racism would fit in well with some of our idiot fans.

i didnt even think about Chip Kelly!

Seriously, if the Eagles don't make the playoffs this year and he gets canned, I could see him being cool with jumping over to an mid level ACC school to jump start his college career again. He probably wouldnt stick around long term, but 2 or 3 years of Chip would really bolster our brand nationally and in turn our recruiting.

i know this is a troll thread but imagine how bad you guys would be with richt. he has trouble winning with great players at georgia so even if he gets the same results here he ends up with the same record as our coach you want to fire.

Doeren has one more conference win in his entire career at State than Richt has so far this season

Richt also won more conference games in his first year at Georgia than Doeren has won in his entire time at State

but great analogy

The gist of that post was

How do you expect people who can't succeed at easy jobs to succeed here?

The ACC has much worse coaches than the SEC. ACC coaching is atrocious. It's worse than all the other major conferences and may even be worse than the American at this point. See Cutcliffe as an example. So Richt might do well here even with the issues we have in football, but I'd still be worried about him being in TOB-retirement mode.

Come on E-troll. You can honestly think I was being serious about Sarkisian. Of course he would be a horrible hire. Haden will probably lose his job over Sarkisian too.

So we all agree, the Dolphins coach who was just fired, the defense coordinator at Clemson, Chip Kelly, and Mark Richt are all viable candidates.

Sarkeesion is out beside he can't leave stadium at halftime to drink because he has to coach up the team in the locker room.

I vote we get the engineering school to build a time machine, go back in time, kill lee fowler, so he can't cancel the interview with Jimbo Fisher to hire TOB, hire Jimbo Fisher.

There's no way in hell we chose TOBY over Jimbo. Jimbo may have come and chatted with us, but he wasn't leaving FSU for our dumpster fire.

Big difference between taking a meeting and wanting the job, see: John Calipari

Calipari did a lot more than take a meeting.

But I'm glad we didn't get that scumbag. I enjoy actually watching us play basketball and would not enjoy the inevitable NCAA sanctions

Some fuckers with short memories up in here. Jumbo Fisher was a candidate for the job when TOB got it. This was well before Fisher landed at FSU and became the guy to replace Bowden.
