Who are these guys, and why should I care?

Well one is Sam Hunt(top picture), a former college QB at UAB who has kind of emerged this year on the country/pop music scene with a few hits. He's also written a few hits for other artists(Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney, etc). His music is basically country mixed with Justin Timberlake. The second is a picture of Luke Bryan, who has been in country music for over a decade now and currently even has an exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville. He basically splits traditional country versus new country fans down the middle as he is currently one of the biggest acts in country music but most traditional country fans dislike his music. Actually got his first hit as a song-writer with "Good Directions" by Billy Currington.Robin Thicke(not pictured) is the some of Alan Thicke, the dad from Growing Pains. He is a pop/r&b singer and more of the throwback crooner. Thicke is often compared to Michael Buble as they look/sound quite similar. Robin Thicke was most notably in the news the last few years for his risque performance with Miley Cyrus, his break-up with his wife over accusations of cheating, and his recent course case where he and Pharrell Williams lost to Marvin Gaye's family and were ordered to pay them over $7 million for using a sample of Gaye's music without permission. The more you know.

^ seriously. Did he just pick another white dude who sings?

Listen to Thicke's slower songs and get away from "Blurred Lines" and his more upbeat stuff. Perhaps Buble is more of the Sinatra-style, but he's probably a mix of Michael Buble and Ginuwine. He has a few upbeat songs(but so does Buble), but he also has some slower songs that are just him singing over a piano.

They still don't sound anything alike.

The only thing I know about Luke Bryan is that the music I"ve heard of his is terrible pop-country, and he's know for wearing tight pants and shaking his ass and doing silly stuff like this:[Edited on August 25, 2015 at 9:48 AM. Reason : ]

The tape deck says Sony

^^nothing on contemporary country radio is remotely close to "traditional country". The only difference between Sam hunt and Luke Bryan is that Sam Hunt doesn't sing about tailgates and dirt roads and girls in cut off shorts. (I'm assuming)

No. He writes about how she is killin' it in her Levi's
