But still like to buy.Mine is water bottles/travel coffee mugs. I don't know why, but I'm always looking for new water bottles, or new coffee mugs. And the water bottles have started getting expensive...like $60 for a decent Hydro Flask.Anybody else have stupid things they like to buy but don't really need? I don't think hobbies really count.

I buy a lot of gum. I chew it but I also buy more so I always have a variety of flavors to choose from. I'm getting better though so some day I will chew all that I have and then only buy what I chew within a reasonable time frame.

Pepsi Max. I know soft drinks (even though this is calorie free) are bad for you, but I enjoy drinking it. I like getting the occasional jolt of caffeine, and I enjoy the taste. Although I do give it a shake and get some of the carbonation out of it because it makes me feel bloated if I drink to much bubble water.

One time I started a pez head collection and bought the entire star wars series because I heard some of the old star wars toys are worth a lot and so are some pez heads. Then after that I read the Star Wars series pez heads are the most mass produced series of pez heads ever, so they are worth almost nothing.

^^Your mention of collections reminds me.I no longer collect hardback books. I also quit my Burt Sugarman's Midnight Special collection--they were strangely fun to have, but I never actually watched them. And Kiehl's discontinued their rice/wheat volumizing hair products...so that's another pointless thing I'm not buying these days.So let's see...stupid things I buy that I don't need: prosecco, vodka, cigarettes, energy drinks, fabric softener, candles, overpriced coffee on occasion, bottled water, and probably 70% of my beauty products. I'm about consumables...trinkets and sit-arounds can all go fuck themselves.[Edited on August 16, 2015 at 8:06 PM. Reason : ]

I am a sucker for cheap cutesy animal things. Key chains, stickers, plastic cups, things like that.

Also, last year I started a 20 gallon freshwater fish aquarium. I have a filter that I don't use and fake plants that I don't use. Plus I bought some rocks that look like ones I can find outside. The first filter was too loud, so I bought a quieter one. I should have just bought a used tank on craigslist for about 20 dollars and then went and bought a nice filter. Instead I bought the Top Fin 20 gallon starter set that was on sale along with a lot of other nice new things. I bet I would be lucky to get a 4th of what I spent on it, if I sold it. If you ever try to setup an aquarium, or terrarium then make sure to start on craigslist because the equipment has low resale values and most people are trying to get rid of their pets and equipment asap. I could have saved a lot of money had I done more research.
