I think Cherokee Chief Wilma Mankiller would have been the most appropriate choice.

^^ "the first lady of civil rights" and "the mother of the freedom movement"...

Quote :
"Parks received national recognition, including the NAACP's 1979 Spingarn Medal, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the Congressional Gold Medal, and a posthumous statue in the United States Capitol's National Statuary Hall. Upon her death in 2005, she was the first woman and second non-U.S. government official to lie in honor at the Capitol Rotunda."

And I don't wanna be weird, but due to the way men have historically run shit and been the ones permitted to take initiative, and since their contributions are the types they've deigned to celebrate...I think the list of female Ben Franklins and Abe Lincolns is necessarily going to be a short one.

Can we put ten million tireless mothers/factory workers on the ten dollar bill?

Furthermore, it necessarily has to be a non-white woman because, as outsiders in society, they're the primary ones positioned to defy all conventions and do the things that we regard as significant and extraordinary.

It's Tubman all the way.

You're right, it can't be Tubgirl because she is white.

I don't like any of those choices, other than Eleanor Roosevelt. What about Elizabeth Cady Stanton or Clara Barton? Audrey Hepburn was an amazing woman as was Abigail Adams.

i would put Rosa Parks on it.

BUT, i also would be replacing Jackson instead of Hamilton. Because he was like the biggest asshole to native americans in history.

Clara Barton could work but only cause she had an ego to rival the other folks on our money.

Shouldn't it be the one dollar bill?

It only seems appropriate since it's frequently given to women who are just trying to pay their way through college...

What is the reasoning for taking Alexander Hamilton off? He was a founding father.

Why not make a new bill with a woman on it?

^seriously. Hamilton was probably the single most important person of the era to never be president. (Sorry Jay, Marshall, Franklin.) Plus he wasn't a near-genocidal asshat like Jackson.

Nah. They're gonna put Bruce Jenner on the $10, and as an anti-counterfeiting measure, when you tilt it, the image changes to Caitlyn.

She's not dead, either. It'll prolly be Susan B. Anthony. She's already on money, so it wouldn't be too much of a stretch. She's white, too, so it's not as big of a threat, either.

Harriet Tubman? Let's put a human being who was literally bought and sold on our currency. That's a good look.

I agree with t-swizzle.

really though i guess i'd be ok with harriet tubman. i just think its strange that they are replacing hamilton of all people, essentially the father of our economical system. I guess ideally they'd replace jackson, but the $20 is probably the most used bill other than $1 and the $10 is probably the least used.
