Honda says i should only use their brand. normally i would ignore something like that and they said i should use their own clutch/brake fluid for my silver 2003 accord... is this necessary or can i just go to the auto parts store and buy the equivalent?

Any DOT3 hydraulic fluid should doBtw, if you ever need to use coolant, I'd personally stick to the Honda coolant. It's pretty great.[Edited on May 19, 2015 at 7:37 PM. Reason : ]

Couldn't put my car into gear and the clutch didn't feel like it gave the normal amount of resistance. I replaced the master and slave hydraulic thingies in the clutch system, bled it, and now it's working like a charm. I called firestone (and a couple of other places) and they quoted me 1500 bucks to fix it. I got the parts and my brother in law and I did it and only cost me around 100 bucks and a few dozen swear words.[Edited on May 25, 2015 at 8:33 PM. Reason : ]
