There is also the fact that what if that lady (or whoever else they tried to prank) turned out to actually be really brave. She could have seen that one crawling on the ground and stomped on its head as hard as she possibly could. Or what if she had a pocket knife on her and she just stabbed it? In a situation like that she wouldn't be thinking rationally and would act on instinct and survival.

^ exactly.i totally would have stomped on the head of the crawling one, plus i would have slammed the windows shut as hard as i could to break their hands.but of course, knowing that zombies don't exist, i would have realized that it was a prank. doesn't mean that i still wouldn't have been scared shitless
