I remember the original Elite from my early gaming days in the 90s, and what I remember was trying to dock my ship for about 3 hours and failing miserably, then uninstalling.

This version looks very pretty, but from what I've read, there is a lack of ~things you actually want to do~.

It's a lot like privateer. I'm doing mostly trading with some bounty hunting...It's not the most exciting game ever, but it's peaceful

The new changes make it easy to get money. I got 1 million today just bounty hunting for an hour

I guess they had to do something to change it. I haven't played in a couple weeks but trading was by far the most profitable then.

Yeah, the RESs make it too easy, you don't even have to try.

There is a new close quarters combat where you dogfight and not lose your money. It's a lot like tachyon the fringe for the 200 people that played that game 10+ years ago. I like the combat.
