Disney attractions turned into movies:Pirates of the Caribbean (x4)Haunted MansionMission to MarsThe Country BearsTower of Terror (made for TV)The only solid movie in that list is the first Pirates film. This does not bode well for any attraction-inspired Disney movie. However, this trailer looks pretty cool and George Clooney adds legitimacy. Will probably see it.

Country Bear Jamboree was made into a trilogy of video gameshttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Five_Nights_at_Freddy%27s

I would prefer the movie fail. Disney already ruined Pirates of the Caribbean (the ride) in the name of corporate synergy. God knows Eddie Murphy animatronics would be all over the Haunted Mansion if that movie hadn't tanked. The last thing I want is George Clooney telling me how riding Space Mountain will help save the planet.

^ They ruined a coaster by making a movie?

dangit, i thought this was the EDM fest.

^^ They added a bunch of tie-ins to the movie that essentially changed the entire plot of a classic water ride for the worse. I don't expect anyone else to really give a shit, but then again I'm one of those out of town theme park weirdos.

Saw this last night, the plot was nothing like I was expecting it to be. It was ok, worth seeing, but not great.George Clooney and Hugh Laurie were great, I enjoyed seeing them on screen together. The visuals were well done and it was a cool concept. But...(spoilers)...The main character is built up to be super "special" the whole time, but in the end doesn't really do much. She's really just the Watson (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheWatson), existing only so there's someone to ask questions on behalf of the audience so things get explained. It felt like 3/4 of the movie was just her trying to figure out how to get to Tomorrowland but so little actually happens there. From the trailers I thought there would be something wrong in TL that she had to fix but it turns out that all of the problems were here...one of those "you should feel guilty for being human" moments.

Ok so I'm a little confused. Who are the original inhabitants of Tomorrowland? Gov. Nix kind of explained how they discovered tachyons way before we did, but he seems like the only human around. Or is he even human? Are all of the inhabitants robots? If so who programmed them? And why were/are they so hell-bent on getting Earth people to come to Tomorrowland?Or did Edison, Tesla, Eiffel and Verne just build the whole thing?Yea, there's spoilers there, but the movie has been out a while and nobody's bumped this thread, so nobody probably cares.[Edited on September 22, 2015 at 12:35 AM.
