famous?

EuroTitToss and Slave Famous have two of the most distinctive/creative handles on this messageboard service. I wish to know the origin of their choice of internet handle.

Please provide backstories, respectively.

Thank you in advance.

Slave Famous is an anagram of A Salvos Fume, which represents the pungent aroma of his ejaculate.

Great.

So apparently I am such a TWW n00b that two of the more colorful user names which led me to inquire to their seemingly hidden meanings are nothing more than the textual resulting anagrams designed to mask sexual innuendos.

I got punk'd

nonetheless

I'd expect nothing less, and you haven't failed me yet, TWW

Why thank you, kind sir. Per your request:

In 2007, alias accounts were all the rage. A few of us (chembob, wilso, and myself), decided to create an alias that we would troll people with. "Sorostitute" sounded like the logical choice. We created an elaborate backstory for this person, but were too lazy to actually roleplay it.

When the egg hunt rolled around that year, we thought it would be especially hilarious if our alias went up against tdub veterans and won. The three of us took shifts browsing TWW all day. I took my shift while working (probably the 2nd or 3rd time I almost got fired for tdub, seriously.... the other time involved my boss reading comments I made to me when I was an RA). When I woke up, I saw a horrifying message sent at 3am from Bob saying he had given up on his night shift. BUT we still won somehow, tied with drunknloaded I think.

The prize is a premium account and with that comes the HTMLs. I had long viewed HTML abilities as some secret jedi power and I was pretty fucking pumped. I wrote some silly stuff (a random gallery photo thread, changing the apparent poster of a post to someone else, etc.) Finally, I realized I could send myself a PM that, when viewed, would automatically shoot off another PM. A self replicating PM....

And that was the inspiration for the TWW JavasScript Virus or as I liked to call it, the EDWARD NORTON NORTON ANTIVIRUS VIRUS. It was a thread that, when viewed by a premium member, would post the same thread to a random board. The code was kind of buggy (having, naturally, never been tested), but the clever part was that it pulled random thread titles so people would think they were clicking on their favorite threads.

Several of us were shit canned immediately (apologies again to the innocent chembob), but the virus wreaked havoc for about a week. Some people were amused and others wanted to throat punch me. While banished, I used social engineering to unban Sorostitute (though never posted because guilt) and communicated to chit chat using a web cam in the library.

A year later I made EuroTitToss so I could post again in my last semester. Obviously, it's an anagram and the name of a commonplace European sex act.

Most of this is documented in screenshots here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.511920914339.2130592.11801395&type=1&l=ec481181b5

Indeed.
I need to hear from others in quite the same manner to feel vindicated in interpreting this art. Go forth and inspire others.

Also, good sir, highly recommend you put your coding skills toward something constructive if you have that level of talent; deeper story than I expected!

It wasn't what you would expect.

I think around 2006 there was this story about an RA in the international dorm hunting down pictures of kids in that dorm drinking on Facebook. There were a lot of outraged people on TWW, lots of photoshopping of this RA (to make a point that photos don't prove anything), etc. I made a comment to the effect of "well, I would never do that" and that led to the first sit down. Later, I tried to be more supportive in the same thread and I had another more stern talking to, this time with a formal letter indicating I was about to be let go because I weighed in again. Point is officials were scouring the forum the whole time and if you're in an official capacity, STFU. Good times.

As a land grant institution, I cannot think of a better way for the agents/employees of a public university to pass the time and spend the taxpayer dollars, looking for photos of kids drinking on the internet......

I was just thinking about what a terrific name EuroTitToss was. Like I saw his "Who likes gambling?" thread, and was thinking, "Gosh, such a great username," and then saw this thread. So.

For some reason I've never appreciated Slave Famous' name very much; it's just never struck me as tremendously witty or creative. (It's good...just not uber-fucking-outstanding.) However, of course I appreciate Slave Famous himself about 100x as much as I appreciate his name.

Moral of the story: you only have to wait 6 years to have your username vindicated.

Nope. I'm a developer making less than the national average for devs while working on masters and making crappy little games on the side. I have given up on my life of internet crime.
