Is this usually a big event? How are the deals?

Usually pretty awesome deals, varies year to year. When I went 2 or so years ago everyone at the front of the line with me were Lenovo employees, said this deal was alot better than their employee discount.Maybe we'll get lucky and someone who works there will post the list online here

I went probably 6 or 7 years ago. The deals were incredible. I got what was a pretty loaded W500 for $350.That said, the guys at the head of the line were basically buying dozens of machines at a time. Not sure if they've tightened up on that. If not, you've got to assert yourself.

you can't go and browse, you need to know what you want and the order you want them before you go

The lenovo website says a list will be posted on the door in the morning. Will it not be released prior?

The T540p with an i5 is only $120 more on their own website so minus the hassle of going to morrisville, waiting in line, hoping you grab one, etc...that's not too much of a "I must go there!" of a saleNow the X1 carbon...that thing's like $400 off. Problem is they have exactly 1...are you going to be Neo?...Then you get to the 540p with the i7 w/ the 720p cam (not the one without)...that's about $1300 off even with the shitty screen resolution. And they've got 65 so if I was going to go for anything there and be realistic with expectations, I'd be going for that. And if not that, then the t440p is about $950 off.
