Well...is it?

absolutely not. it does not fit within the defined perimeters for a planet.
10/4/2014 5:55:43 PM
according to people at harvard it does now
10/4/2014 6:03:07 PM
nope

Pluto's micro-penis keeps it from being a planet.
10/4/2014 6:57:20 PM
Well, I guess that answers that...or not.
10/4/2014 7:20:41 PM
If pluto is a planet, a bunch of other things are going to have to be added as well, starting with Eris.

^exactly

pluto will always be a planet, in my heart.

Pluto will head to the polls for a referendum on this issue in November. its residents will face a simple question. "Should Pluto be a planet?"

^^NASA isn't the organization that declassified Pluto.Sidenote: Pluto is NOT a planet but it is a dwarf planet, right? Seems to be like a dwarf planet is just a more specific type of planet. How inconsistent.
10/6/2014 12:38:56 PM
Alright, alright, Mickey's a mouse, Donald's a duck, Pluto's a dog. What's Goofy?
10/6/2014 12:41:45 PM
a sentient dog
10/6/2014 8:57:52 PM
^^^a dwarf planet has many but not all characteristics of a planet; for example, Pluto has not cleared out the neighborhood of its orbit

Asteroids can be called "minor planets". It's not just about being a planet, it's about the elite status.I don't think that the "dwarf" or "minor" adjectives are particularly flattering either. If our language was developed by a race living on one of the gas giants, it's likely that Earth and the other rockies would be called "girly planets".
10/7/2014 11:23:45 AM
you just basically said an alien species is the same as a different race which is racist. also, i'm not sure a gas giant could every sustain complex chemistry so definitely not life.
10/7/2014 4:21:14 PM
^"Race" can be used to mean "different fictional humanoid species," as is frequently done in fantasy games/novels.also,
