Attempts in other threads to sort out aliases by comparing posting styles prompted me to finally make this thread. aaronburro : Neal Boortz - Resident curmudgeon and contrarian.y0willy0 : Bill CunninghamLoneSnark : Dave Ramsey or Jason Lewissmc : Glenn Beck (with an honorable mention to salisburyboy as being the original)I'm sure there are more. I wanted to put Wolfpack2K as Sean Hannity, but no one really remembers who he is other than being a fraud lawyer...

I wouldn't put LoneSnark as Dave Ramsey. He is more like a Reihan Salam to me.

JesusHChrist : Rachel Maddowdtownral : Mike Mooremoron : Bill Mayer - he's the only one that, for me, posts insightful arguments and usually doesn't try to put people down. Bill Mayer puts people down, but I like his arguments.

disco_stu needs to be mayermoron needs to be someone substantially dumberJHC / dtownral need to both be michael moore for obvious reasonsShrike can be maddow

I forgot about studisco_stu : Chris Matthews
8/19/2014 9:26:00 PM
I'm a bit dismayed at the current state of the TSB conservative bunch because no one really stands out as someone with belligerent righteous indignation to play the part of Bill O'Reilly.
8/19/2014 9:31:18 PM
maybe dtownral can be ed schultz since theyre both fat and stupid
8/19/2014 9:38:50 PM
Bill Maher.....with an H
8/20/2014 12:41:59 AM
^I'm pretty tepid on bill maher though. I think he's showing his age recently. Also, I'm very ageist.
8/20/2014 1:31:40 AM
Thesuke is hannityAaronburro is rushTreetwista is howard stern
8/20/2014 3:29:42 AM
I don't know any left-wing radio or TV personalities who show the unmitigated anger toward the Rethugs that I do; Keith Olbermann was close but he's out of that scene.
8/20/2014 3:36:46 AM
Lewis Black?
8/20/2014 6:53:32 AM
duke is much more level headed than hannity. And sorry, I know it's Maher, with an H, my fingers didn't though. And lewis, why so much anger? I think Ed Shultz is a pretty angry guy.[Edited on August 20, 2014 at 7:10 AM. Reason : adfas]
8/20/2014 7:09:47 AM
TheDuke is pretty hard to place given that he seems fairly moderate for the current incarnation of Conservatives. I liken him to someone like Steve Schmidt or Michael Steele.
8/20/2014 10:54:12 AM
I don't listen to enough radio or watch enough tv personalities to participate.(is "thesuke" supposed to be TheDuke? Because he certainly is not Hannity. Hannity is insufferable.... like Rush. Like O'Reilley. like aaronburro)[Edited on August 20, 2014 at 11:34 AM. Reason : i guess i just particpated a little]
8/20/2014 11:16:08 AM
I don't know who Ed Shultz is, I don't listen to enough radio or watch enough tv personalities to participate.
8/20/2014 11:20:37 AM
The problem with this thread is that the conservatives on this board can't tell the difference between liberalism and the Democratic Party.Your typical run-of-the-mill MSNBC talking head (like Ed Schultz) shouldn't be confused with more ardent liberals, because they'll no never go as far to accuse Democrats as being helplessly complicit with the current state of affairs. I will, and so would other liberals on this board.
8/20/2014 12:06:20 PM
Reading TWW and WRAL commenters confuse me sometimes. Because if you look at a lot of the issues and the conservatives' take on them, they'd defintely call me a raging liberal. But then they go on to say that all liberals want to take away all the guns. And all liberals attack Christianity but defend Islam.... and there's other discrepancies that I can't think of this second that really make me question my label. It's very confusing.
8/20/2014 12:13:32 PM
that settles it thenbullet can be alan colmeshe too is easily confused
8/20/2014 12:21:09 PM
from my recollection of alan colmes, he's a raging liberal on all subjects and pretty squirelly. i doubt he owns guns or a pick-up truck or gets his hands dirty. which i don't think portrays me very well.
8/20/2014 12:29:41 PM
nah hes not hardcore
8/20/2014 12:33:05 PM
I'll take Glenn Beck, as suggested.Snarky, unfunny cynical satire. CheckOverly dramatic and impassioned attempts at pathos. CheckTalks to himself in silly voices. Check
8/20/2014 12:34:43 PM
although i find it hard to believe dtownral doesnt know who ed schultz isi truly dont know who bill cunningham isburro as rush made me laugh tho, not gonna lie
8/20/2014 12:44:05 PM
8/20/2014 1:11:57 PM
^ William F. Buckley Jr., maybe? I seemed to find his shows reasonably well moderated and interesting for the time period, despite his strong personal beliefs and that creepy eye buldge. Former army officer and CIA, as I understand it.
8/20/2014 1:25:02 PM
I'll take a better educated Bill Maher.
8/20/2014 1:31:06 PM
Duke is more like a Frum crossed with Rand Paul to me.

8/20/2014 4:21:26 PM
I left Rush off intentionally because deep down, I think he's simply a very successful act, but if someone feels there is a match, then go for it.
8/20/2014 7:17:07 PM
^ y0willy0 would be a good Rush, because most of his posts are acts.
8/20/2014 7:46:18 PM
rjrumfel is Steve Doocy, a mindless parrot of party line talking points
8/20/2014 7:54:57 PM
^^ nu uhwe are forgetting smath - hannity?tke-teg? who else are we missing?i seriously doubt im the best candidate for rush. im hardly the biggest blowhard in TSB, i doubt im even top 3.its probably burro, just sayinftr i find this thread interesting / entertaining[Edited on August 20, 2014 at 9:41 PM. Reason : dtownral could be alec baldwin. fat, liberal, and insane][Edited on August 20, 2014 at 9:50 PM. Reason : thegoodlife3 can be melissa harris perry]
8/20/2014 9:41:01 PM
Smath is also hard to place because while I do believe he is a conservative, his antics are mainly an act. Hannity is simply a staunch, unapologetic, repetitive ass clown. If anyone remembers hooksaw, he, in my estimation, would make the best Rush. Huge ego, always has to get the last word in, and even comes up with cute, funny-in-his-own-mind names for people while tweaking anyone and everyone.^ In my original assessment of your posting persona, I want to say that you were relatively new, but still enjoyed being a conservative bomb thrower despite your relative obscurity. Hence the correlation with Bill Cunningham who has (?) a show on Sunday nights where he always refers to the President as "Barack Hussein Obama", always has an interview with his "good friend" Wayne Alan Root, and refers to people whom he agrees with as "Great Americans." If you prefer the mantle of our resident Bill O'Reilly, then more power to you! [Edited on August 20, 2014 at 9:55 PM. Reason : .]
8/20/2014 9:48:47 PM
nah i dont want to nominate myself for anything; that defeats the point and im enjoying thisin hindsight i think moron should be colmes and idk about bulletbullet is a tough one because sometimes his stances surprise me; hes somewhat moderateback to the drawing board
8/20/2014 10:07:09 PM
Then I will nominate you, sir!I am also torn between wdprice3 and TGD as Joe Scarborough. Two republicans who are true to themselves, but are completely on the level when it comes to having any sort of conversation with and I would gladly invite them over for dinner. The idea of Treetwista as Howard Stern is pretty damn spot on if anyone remembers that far back. Twista excelled a the "shock jock" style of posting.
8/20/2014 10:31:50 PM
wdprice as joe is pretty good; theduke is a good candidate there too no?TT as stern, yupi just realized we need a pat buchanan; intelligent yet subtly racistwe also need a dr laura

what about shepard smith?burro as ann coulter, haha
8/21/2014 10:23:59 AM
i dont know moron; i can understand how that is a valid critique of rush limbaugh.he truly just wants a paycheck to go up his nose or down his gullet.dennis miller though actually strikes me as fairly passionate; i think your criticism of him might be off simply because hes a comedian and that alters his delivery.i dont dislike dennis miller however if my o reilly nomination is still up in the air.i dont think ive ever noticed bigman in TSB; this discussion should probably stick to the regulars.is there a democratic equivalent of joe scarborough? if there is it could be bullet.we need a james carville and his wife!
8/21/2014 11:23:50 AM
NyM410 ???hes hard to place as well; quite sarcastic and cynical.
8/21/2014 12:58:01 PM

Dave Ramsey isn't really a good match for anyone, because he rarely gets political.
8/31/2014 7:29:57 PM
really? he hates obama and doesn't make it a secret.
8/31/2014 7:31:51 PM
Yea but he's not like Hannity or Rush - his show generally isn't political in nature, at least it hasn't been when I catch him. But I seldom listen to him, usually when I'm on my way to pick up a pizza or something after work.
