I am sure some only go to college for personal fulfillment and don't care about a career, nothing wrong with that. Kind of stupid to do that on STUDENT LOANS though.... Oh let me get fulfilled with no career plan off some loans that will haunt me for life, cant be bankrupted, and will be impossible to pay back on my minimum wage job.

If you aren't considering the ROI on your degree then you aren't smart enough to be in college. If you only get a bachelors in psychology you're probably going to end up in the fast food industry.Figuring out if your degree is worth getting, how much debt you'll have, how long it will take to pay off that debt, future earning potential vs. losing 4 years of earnings, etc. is important.Yes, you should get an education in college, but you need to be able to justify the expense too. There's a ton of education available at the public library without burying yourself in debt to learn unmarketable skills or knowledge.

at the end of the day, what you make coming out of college is going to depend heavily on the amount of solid internships and work experiences you had during college. granted, computer science, engineering, and accounting majors are coming out with a marketable skill but that doesn't mean that those are the only majors where you can make money. I had plenty of friends come out of College of Management and still make dog shit 4-5 years later because they never did a single internship and they don't have the drive / people skills to advance where they are currently.
