I usually go with their first name after meeting them, but my gf says you're supposed to call them Mr/Mrs. What do you do?]
8/3/2014 12:10:58 AM
depends on how well you know them
8/3/2014 12:14:15 AM
Mr or Mrsor Sir or M'am
8/3/2014 12:44:28 AM
Hey...baby
8/3/2014 1:31:16 AM

8/3/2014 2:06:22 AM
Excuse me, Mr/Mrs recreational adult
8/3/2014 2:51:48 AM
"fuck off, you're in the way"
8/3/2014 3:34:08 AM
usually Mr. [first name] or Mrs. [first name]sometimes Mr./Mrs. [last name] if they're the more formal sort
8/3/2014 7:17:38 AM
I try not to use names in general, because my memory rivals a goldfish's in shittiness
8/3/2014 8:02:17 AM
Very loudly
8/3/2014 9:44:21 AM
So maybe I'm a piece of shit, but I've never believed in the whole "I've been on this earth longer than you, so I deserve more respect" thing...If you've earned respect, that's a different story.Anyway, I call them by their first names.
8/3/2014 10:53:04 AM
Depends on how well I know them..pretty much every body I work with is significantly older than me. But I just call them by their first name. Other than, it's usually Mr./Mrs. [first name]. And always use sir/ma'am. My parents drilled that one into my head at young age.
8/3/2014 11:01:12 AM
I feel like the generation that expected "sir/mam" is turning the corner on 80/90 now. Baby boomers don't seem to care for that crap.
8/3/2014 11:54:36 AM
you know what grinds my gears?
8/3/2014 12:26:42 PM
none of us can call anyone old anymore
8/3/2014 12:55:47 PM
"Sup, brah?"
8/3/2014 1:46:52 PM
HEY MOTHERFUCKER, GET OUT OF THE PASSING LANE! JESUS!
8/3/2014 1:48:28 PM
I'm assuming you guys are only using Mrs. if you know the woman is married. If I'm unsure, it's "Ms."I use whatever formal title they deserve: I mean, you guys aren't calling older doctors "Mr" or "Mrs" are you?
8/3/2014 5:24:57 PM
i usually just call them chief, or bub.
8/4/2014 8:06:30 AM

8/4/2014 9:29:52 AM
If I'm meeting somebody's parents or something I'll usually go with Mr/Ms/Mrs the first time until they say "oh just call me x" and then go with that. Professionally, I always go with their first name.If they're like super elderly, I'll go with Mr/Miss and their first name.
8/4/2014 10:43:28 AM
Um... whatever they are introduced to me as?
8/4/2014 10:49:19 AM
^ Wow, so every person you come across in life is introduced to you by someone else?[Edited on August 4, 2014 at 1:43 PM. Reason : also nearly every introduction i've been party to is first name/last name...not Bob or Mr. Walker]
8/4/2014 1:41:12 PM

^^^Most people say "Hi, I'm ____"
8/4/2014 1:57:29 PM
8/4/2014 2:03:03 PM
^^ Who in the hell would say "Hi, I'm Mr. Walker?" It's almost always "Hi, I'm Robert Walker"...especially with old people.]
8/4/2014 2:03:54 PM
^Someone who wants to be called Mr. Walker.
8/4/2014 5:10:38 PM
Either their first name or Mrs/Mr last name. Depends on how well I know them, but that goes for most people.
8/4/2014 5:58:12 PM
^^ I've never had someone introduce themselves to me as Mr/Ms [lastname]
8/4/2014 6:46:15 PM
Mr./Mrs./Ms. [last name]But you say it a lot and fast and real familiar-like...so it doesn't feel formal after a while. It's important to keep this up so when you do drunkenly bust out with "Jim" or "Nancy," you make a real impact.
