With most works of art, "by" denotes authorship. You might say a movie was "by" a writer or director, for instance. Yes, "with" or better yet "starring" in this case. "Starring" means that a famous actor or actress (a star) plays a lead character, and "with" usually indicates that the role they're playing is smaller, like one scene or a cameo.
