yes, let's get a team together for real. without numbers, you pretty much can't compete. PM me and I'll give you my cell number or something or we can just meet there next Wednesday or whenever. We'd probably need to get there around 7 to grab a table before people come.

the format is this:

-there are five (?) rounds with about three questions each and you get a few minutes to write your answer down on an index card and bring them up and they're scored. the rounds don't have a theme, but the questions do.

-sometimes it will be a two or three part question and if you get all of the parts you get extra points as a bonus. also, it could be name 2/3 of something.

-between each round there is a "beer round" where a question is called out and the first person to yell the answer (anyone at the bar can, not just trivia players) wins a beer.

-they read the standings at least twice before the final round

-the final round is a ten part question that usually has you name the top ten of something. "most populous countries" the "top ten corn producing states" etc.

At Pickled Onion you get a $50 bar tab that you can use towards alcohol. Second place gets $25.

My team is pretty consistent in winning, but we keep it small so we don't end up with like $1.25 a piece. Feel free to make another team and come lose to us.

Playing with me also gives Jazon the option to get drunk as fuck and crash on my couch. He's on his own getting back to his car the next day from Durham though.
