It's an appealing idea to have one's funeral be a time for people to memorialize your memory while having a good time, instead of being some weepy ceremony that everyone hates.

However I think everyone would have a better time without having to pretend that my corpse was literally partying with everyone else.

I just think it's awesome that smoking cigarettes, drinking beer, and likely shooting off at the mouth qualify one as "full of life." Seriously, I'm genuinely glad to learn this is the standard.

sounds like a fun funeral.

we had a celebration for my late grandmother a couple of months ago... basically set a huge bonfire and drank ourselves shitless.

of course we didn't prop her up with a beer and stogie. (we did take hits off of her oxygen to help ward off our hangovers.)
