I rented this last night on pay per view and thought it was total crap. Besides being so far from the Biblical story, it was still just a shitty movie with a story that really had potential.

Actually, the source material is retarded. There's never been a remotely decent noah movie because the story is boring and unbelievable.

The best we could hope for is Hermione and Jennifer Connolly lezzing out.

lol yeah. Though I actually do think a movie exploring Yahweh's internal monologue when deciding to murder countless innocent babies and animals because of a mistake he made (which he knew he would do, right?) would be interesting.

I just saw it and actually liked it. I think not making it a biblical story was a redeeming quality. The movies of Greek myths are pretty different from the source material, no reason the Hebrew myths shouldn't have equal creative licenses to good effect.
