Oh jeez, what happened this time?My M3’s oil light’s coming on after I replaced switch. I’ve put maybe 200 miles on the car since purchase...

Nothing. Yet. Took it to Busch Gardens and averaged 30 mpg on the way.It will eventually need a reman CV shaft, but so has everything FWD I've ever owned. I think I put four in my old Integra. The oil light did come on after a hard run and flickered for a short time, but I let it sit for 15 minutes and went on my merry way with nary an issue since. It has since gotten a can of seafoam and an oil change with Mobil 1. Maybe some big chunks will break loose and lunch the motor.[Edited on April 28, 2014 at 4:41 PM. Reason : oil light.]

Those NG 900's and 9-3's have an oil screen that is prone to clogging up if the oil isn't changed religiously. Mobil1 is a good start, but cleaning it is something to consider if the oil pressure light comes back on. Google "Saab oil sludge" for more info.Saabs are rad! I think I have a wheel center cap around here somewhere if you ever need one.Don't get a custom plate. It's just a way to fork over more money to the state. Nobody thinks it's clever and nobody will be impressed. If anything, it just makes your vehicle easier for spiteful people to remember if you ever piss anyone off with your antics.[Edited on April 28, 2014 at 5:31 PM. Reason : s]

Yeah Andy, I know about the sludge issues. One look at the close proximity of the exhaust and cat to the oil pan and you'll understand A. Why slushing is an issue. B. why I'm not gonna do shit to it. Hopefully, Mobil 1's solvency and a shot of sea foam will help remediate the issue. If not, well, tough shit for me. Working on cars just ain't that fun for my old arthritic ass.
