Jerami Grant is gone. Really no place to go but down after playing on the greatest ACC team in history. Hope he at least got a 25-0 t-shirt..[Edited on April 14, 2014 at 1:34 PM. Reason : Harrell is a beast]

Jabari out. would have been dumb not to.
4/17/2014 12:35:58 PM
Still top five preseason IMO. Just need to play Tyus Jones over Cook...
4/17/2014 12:58:46 PM
jabari w/ a SI article to declare.....
4/17/2014 1:17:00 PM
Rodney Hood gone as expected.
4/17/2014 3:21:49 PM
Why the fuck is this Syracuse-Duke "rivalry" a thing? Duke should be pissed their name is being dragged through the mud like that. FFS we have more titles than Syracuse (national and conference)..
4/22/2014 11:28:50 AM
You really have to ask that?
4/22/2014 11:31:44 AM
Good call.Syracuse is the UNC of the northeast, minus the titles. Tons of journalist and media are alums. Also, they hang Helms banners.I think UL-Duke is a better potential rivalry. Both elite programs and both better currently..[Edited on April 22, 2014 at 11:54 AM. Reason : minus]

I see UConn being honored in Fenway today. LOLs at Boston College.

Good program. Doesn't win big but good. You are the only one who is consistently wrong about them. Literally the only one on the site.

on the plus side, we won't have to hear announcers gushing over his overrated self anymore.he's like a shittier hansbrough.who is probably even dumberer.
4/25/2014 10:32:14 AM
Wonder if UK fans can get those 40-0 shirts back from the kids in Uganda...
4/25/2014 1:25:22 PM
Except I think he's more athletic than Hansborough with a better face-up game.
4/25/2014 1:38:21 PM
McGary is also only 21 now, which is what Hansbrough was as a freshman, Hansbrough was a 25 year old senior.Harrison twins returning to UK means you can go ahead and pencil them in as preseason #1, and with very good reason this time.
4/25/2014 2:10:22 PM
The McGary and Hansdouche comparison is just horrible. The are very different players. I guess since they are white big men, then they are comparable Hansdouche was a just a bull in the paint that was very reliable in getting his pts/rebounds. He dominated college playing against smaller players and being the beneficiary of horrible officiating that let him charge, travel, sit in the paint without consequences. McGary is actually skilled, but injury prone. McGary is a great passer and decent ball handler for his size.
4/25/2014 2:21:56 PM
LOL, I know our job is to shit on all things UNC, but let's not compare one of the greatest players in ACC history to Mitch fucking McGary. Fuck it he sucks as a pro.]
4/25/2014 3:06:56 PM
yeah, and anyone who knew anything was aware that he was going to be a mediocre at best player in the NBA. It wasn't a surprise to anyone outside of hardcore UNC homers.

I know I'll get trolled for this but this is exactly why the APR shit is a joke (well besides the fact that schools like UK have classes to bball players that end in March). UConn in 2012-13 was banned from the tournament. UConn for 2012-13 had a perfect 1000 APR.There HAS to be a better way. Strip a team of scholarships, ban a coach without pay, etc. Banning kids who were in high school when the bad scores happen is the peak of NCAA stupidity.[Edited on May 14, 2014 at 9:42 AM. Reason : And if you set up fake classes you can score 1000 too!!]

Syracuse is feverishly printing t-shirts up for beating UConn in something.
9/10/2014 4:29:52 PM
uva DEF does not belong on that list.
9/10/2014 4:52:23 PM
Makes sense to me. I think you guys are looking solely at the players but this is the one sport where the coach has more influence on the result than the players. Talent matters, but some teams will just always end up with "talent" once they start winning games and your perceptions of the players change. Bennett and Dixon have had great defense for about a decade. Theres no reason to think that will drop off. the other teams including Wisconsin Xavier Nova SDSU are all powers year after year for a reason...
9/10/2014 8:05:47 PM
"powers" is a pretty strong word for SDSU and Xavier

Adidas is awful... I thought they fucked our new uniforms, but I would be furious if ours looked like that^
9/28/2014 10:40:46 AM
^I just can't see the hate for our new uniforms. They're basic. YOU PEOPLE love basic. OH NO a black stripe let me cry like a bitch.
9/28/2014 11:11:36 AM
two years ago was basic...then they added the furry stripe on the shorts. Not a fan of that feature, but it wasnt that noticeable. The black color throws off the color scheme of the uniform though. It could be way worse, but rarely do I look at Adidas uniforms and go "man, that looks sharp".
9/28/2014 12:18:00 PM

Just has the feeling of one of those seasons where Roy rides stellar PG play to a championship without any real trouble.
10/17/2014 8:04:41 PM
best way to do preseason rankings in hoops is to just rank the coaches first then shuffle everyone a little based on talent. Maybe cuse and fsu are too low but thats all about right.

Ryan Harrow #80, Purvis #54, Duke freshman Okafor #1. No NC State players

How the fuck does Harrow have any eligibility left? I mean I know he sat out and transferred, but enough already.
