Always ask for no ice. The beverage comes out cold anyway because of the way soda fountains are build and where the ice hopper is located.n00b.
3/22/2014 1:08:42 PM
yeah you tell the vendor at the fair or some event no ice, they give you a mean lookcause you just reduced their profit margin from 500% to only 300%
3/22/2014 1:13:44 PM
Once you've already recouped the cost of the fountain your biggest recurring expense is cups.Soda fountains are a huge money maker. Your $1.29 drink costs about $.05 in soda, CO2, and syrup. The cup is about that much by itself.
3/22/2014 1:16:01 PM
ok, so 5000% to 3000%
3/22/2014 1:17:27 PM
OK I don't want to drag Africa into every thread but I will promise you that I will never, ever, EVER complain about having "too much ice" again. That shit does not exist, not to anybody who has had to buy a drink at one store and then walk three blocks to another store that has ice maybe one day in three. So you guys enjoy your lukewarm no-ice drinks, just more ice for me.
3/22/2014 2:24:08 PM
I prefer more ice, because our sodas are WAAAYYYY TOOO SWEET, I like the more watered down taste.
3/22/2014 2:32:55 PM
Then why not ask them to add some extra soda water so you can still get the carbonation?
3/22/2014 2:34:41 PM
I prefer light ice.
3/22/2014 2:38:28 PM
Because most people would look at be weird, and 99% of the time they would screw up the ratio. Not to mention sometimes the soda has a weird metallic taste by itself. And I like the texture of the ice massaging the inside of my mouth...[Edited on March 22, 2014 at 2:38 PM. Reason : ]

^^

at cookout they give you too much ice, but light ice is just right. At McDonalds they give you just enough ice to enjoy the soda and ice so you can finish it.
3/22/2014 2:46:04 PM
Did someone say Bo-time
3/22/2014 3:22:02 PM
Actually I think it is 190% ice
3/22/2014 3:24:10 PM
At bojangles you get 1 mouthful of tea, and cup of ice.
3/22/2014 3:32:51 PM
At Bojangles, if you get two swallows of tea, you must have ordered light ice.
3/22/2014 3:34:12 PM
3/22/2014 8:13:39 PM
Char-Grill has that pellet ice so you get definitely get 99% ice and 1% soda
3/22/2014 9:08:22 PM
Better yet, ask for a cup of ice, then pour a can of soda into it. That will set you back a quarter if you got the cans in bulk/on sale.
3/22/2014 9:13:17 PM
I just got cookout, their cup of pallet ice gave me more drink than Bojangles huge ice.

3/23/2014 3:32:06 AM
yeah, I always get as many refills as I can for freeand if they aren't looking, I fill the cup up, drink a big gulp, then drink it again if im at a gas station and about to hit the road
3/23/2014 5:19:59 AM
Not proud to admit it but I've definitely gone to Bojangles drive through, order a large tea w/ no ice, and got up to the window and asked for cup of ice.[Edited on March 23, 2014 at 5:54 AM. Reason : .]
3/23/2014 5:52:28 AM
I order the tailgate special, and then get cups, and fill them up with teathey sometimes say im supposed to drink the half gallonbut that's only when its to go
3/23/2014 6:30:53 AM
I like ice.
3/24/2014 10:10:42 PM
Supposedly, the machines used to spit out a lot of syrup first. So you could get your soda extra syrupy if you pushed the cup in over and over again instead of pushing it in and waiting for it to fill.Do y'all know what I'm talking about? I believed it so that was my method until I eventually felt self-conscious about being obnoxious to strangers.
3/24/2014 11:32:18 PM
yeah, but they just got done contaminating the machine with fecal coliform, so who cares about their aural senstivities? jam that cup in and out of there like you're playing cookie clicker! actually, way too much syrup sounds gross, anyway. but less gross than when a machine is really light on syrup. those guys deserve it.
3/24/2014 11:38:50 PM
I was at a McDonald's once and the machine was broken or something. When I tried to fill my cup nothing but the syrup came out. I tasted it. It did not taste good at all
3/25/2014 12:05:57 AM
LOL Before I posted, I tried to find evidence of the syrupy soda situation. Every other link was about contaminated soda fountains. It seems like everything's contaminated these days except beer.

whatever, our civilization is gonna collapse within our lifetimes anyway
3/25/2014 12:15:58 AM
AHAHA, it would be awesome if we could get confirmation on that.Everybody say fuck it and speed up the decline. My first order of business:Nothing.[Edited on March 25, 2014 at 12:29 AM. Reason : ]
