I have always bought my stuff from Dillon supply. Could there be someone cheaper? Possibly but I've always used Dillon.

I guess the big problem is gonna be finding someone that will sell small quantities. We get all of our metals at work from Ryerson. Dillon is where I've traditionally gotten hot rolled and cold rolled steels. They might special order the other stuff.

As far as stainless, what grade/type/size and how much do you need?

2" 304 about 25 elbows or 12 u bends

Schedule 10 pipe or 14/16 gauge

Wolseley will have your pipe and fittings. They sell small quantities and they have a warehouse somewhere around Raleigh.

I get most of my angle, HSS, flat bar, plate, etc. from Gulfstream in Wilmington, so i can't help you there.

i am curious too (except around charlotte) where i can buy very small amounts of metal?

like a couple 1/4 in thick 2 sq ft plates?

grade etc doesnt matter. iron or stainless would be fine too.

Yes they are but they sell small quantites and ship fast.
