Anyone have experience with these? They opened up a new HT close to my work and I saw this whole pizza station in the deli area. I haven't been to a HT in a while, especially a new one like this. How are the pizzas? Frozen quality or more like delivery? Somewhere in between?

I think they are pretty good. I have had nothing to complain about the few times I've eaten one.

If imma buy a pizza, imma get it from some place that does NY style.

I like the pizza there, much better than frozen.$8 for a pizza on mondays, and you can call ahead to put your order in (they will even take toppings from the salad bar to add to your pizza).

Every time I walk by the pizza station at my Harris Teeter, it smells and looks good as fuck. But you'd have to be making shit pizza for it not to look and smell good. So I don't think it means anything.

I agree, I have no complaints. Def try it out on Monday for the lower price.[Edited on March 10, 2014 at 6:47 PM. Reason : .]

I buy the frozen ones. They are 3 for $10. Not bad. I've heard good things about their fresh pizzas and fresh subs as well.

The subs are legit. Much better than Subway. They have a different sub special each day. You can get an 8 inch sub, chips, and a drink for like 5 or 6 bucks.

they have some deal sometimes at the Fresh Market where you get a pizza and a pound of wings for $9.99. That's the jam.

The pizza is darn good, especially for the price.

Interesting...thanks for the input. I'll add them to my considerations.

Yeh, HT pizza is pretty good; I put it above/on the same level as some of the national pizza chains.Salad bar is great.Subs are greatBreakfast is pretty good too, if they actually have the ingredients ready/instock the olive bar can DIAF.

for the same price point, Id go for a Papa Murphy's (this really only applies to people in Cary or around campus in the Raleigh area)

Fresh and pretty delicious.

Harris Teeter, how I miss thee. Kroger is better up here than the few stores in NC, and Martin's has a good deli/hot bar, but Teeter beats them both.
3/12/2014 2:23:42 AM
Papa Murphy's sucks. Anything from the chains is better.

I take your opinion with one of the biggest grains of salt ever as you are one of the biggest pizza snobs i've ever met. You don't do chicago style and thus I expect you to not like the gloriousness that is take and bake from Papa Murphys. It is better than anything you will get from the freezer section, and better than HT pizza. No, it isn't Jet's and no it certainly isn't NY Style. It's still good.

^^ My HT has had the pizza station in the deli for as long as I can remember.
3/12/2014 9:46:51 AM
The older Harris Teeter downtown and one in James Island doesn't have a pizza station, but the bigger, newer one (probably 3-4 years old) in West Ashley has always had one. Just think it depends on when it was opened/built.

If I'm going to do a "Take-And-Bake" pizza, it will either be Harris Teeter or Costco. Both are way better than frozen, and can be as good as/ better than delivery if you add your own toppings. Usually I just get a cheese pizza and add the veggies/meat myself.
