Anyone here watch Hannibal? Season 2 debut was friday night...this show is great.
3/6/2014 10:27:10 AM
I do. Seriously one of my favorite shows on TV. Hoping it keeps decent ratings on Friday night to have it go on a few more seasons.Loved the setup for this season...serious shit is going down. Also, not ashamed to admit this show makes me hungry every time there's a scene with Hannibal having dinner guests
3/6/2014 10:42:09 AM
And Gillian Anderson has gotten hotter with age.
3/10/2014 1:13:34 PM
I miss the Scully-hued hair, but yes.Interested to see if she'll be playing a bigger part in the rest of the season or if she really has bowed out. Also, loved that scene with Hannibal and the other killer.
3/10/2014 1:54:54 PM
She definitely comes back later in the season - confirmed by the showrunner's twitter account. I think the meat hannibal is slicing at the end of the season when Crawford attacks him could be her.

This is one of my favorite shows and I've been quite excited about it's return. On a related note, King Arthur was playing on HBO over the weekend and I noticed that both Hugh Dancy and Mads Mikkelsen are in it. Go figure I wonder how deep Gillian Anderson's involvement will be this season, since she's a main character in another new NBC drama.[Edited on March 11, 2014 at 2:09 PM. Reason : ';]
3/11/2014 2:08:54 PM
^That's where those two guys met. Dancy actually suggested Mads for the role based on King Arthur.
3/11/2014 2:14:35 PM
I love this showThough I also really like Bryan Fuller's stuff in general
3/11/2014 8:51:17 PM
I have no idea how they rate this show TV14, this stuff wouldn't be in a PG-13 movie.Anyway I've watched a couple of episodes (one last season, one this season), interesting but I didn't care for the pacing and none of the characters really interested me.
3/11/2014 8:54:21 PM
I'm about 7 or 8 episodes into Season 1 now. Really enjoying it. Started watching it when I saw Mads was in it - big fan of his from Casino Royale - and the positive reviews were too much to ignore.
3/11/2014 10:43:16 PM
They definitely push the envelope for that PG14 rating. Last week's episode had some particularly graphic images.Though, after watching I really wanted some Osso Bucco.
3/12/2014 8:28:34 AM
I have begun making steaks before every episode. Perhaps liver and Chianti would be more appropriate, but it helps set the mood.
3/12/2014 12:40:09 PM
Just started watching this this weekend, got hooked and im up to episode 2 in season 2 now. Great show, don't know how I missed it last year.
3/19/2014 10:08:01 PM
Glad to have you aboard.I seriously tell everyone about this show, trying to get the word out so it'll carry on for a while
3/20/2014 8:16:59 AM
it really is a great show. and it's a plus for NBC that it's an international show, with shared funding from other international networks. and Brian Fuller has made it clear that he has a definite multi-season story line for the show. It's one of TV's best shows.
3/20/2014 9:02:35 AM
Dont think i can eat OssoBuco for a while.
3/20/2014 11:41:59 AM
Just finished 2x03. Trial is getting interesting.I remember seeing a long time ago a season by season plan for the show - anyone know where to find it?

So, the new Korean Promo for tonight's episode makes me want to watch it all the more (possible spoilers) - the last scene is some creepy shit.http://thischarmingdevil.tumblr.com/post/80035441655/turian-chocolate-axn-koreas-takiawase-promo

Here is my one complaint about the show - it seems often they just "give up" on finding some of these killers. In season 1 all the instances of the copycat killer didn't really seem to worry anyone, you would think people other then Will would've been putting more effort into finding him. This season after the color killers bodies were found, you would think someone murdering 25+ people would be a bigger deal, instead do they just assume the guy in the middle actually is the murderer and move on? And if he is - how come nobody has raised suspicions by now about who is actually murdering these people. I know we are finally starting to touch on some of that with Wills trial and them suspecting someone else of committing his murders, and we all know what that is going to eventually lead to, but just the way everyone acts sometimes is just like "lol dead people, lets move on to the next case".And that promo also looks like its starting to touch on this as well.[Edited on March 21, 2014 at 5:05 PM. I really like this show.
3/21/2014 6:46:01 PM
Good episode this week. RIP Beverly.
3/23/2014 8:16:11 PM
Dammit...what did she see down there?!
3/24/2014 8:21:23 AM
Had to be pretty bad to elicit that kind of reaction from a seasoned forensic scientist. Also, Hannibal will be serving Korean at his next dinner party.
3/24/2014 4:48:27 PM
it's a bummer about Beverly, there is no way she makes it out. But it'll be interesting to see how Hannibal sets up her murder in order to distance himself from it. I was enjoying the Beverly as Clarice spin, but they things she was saying to Hannibal you knew she was setting herself up for disaster.
3/24/2014 4:53:03 PM
dammit, I hope Beverly isn't dead but I just can't imagine a way out of this for her.
3/25/2014 9:49:32 AM
All of Will's conversations with her were recorded. If she turns up dead or missing, Hannibal is going to be a suspect for sure. Either way, this is the beginning of the end for Hannibal.
3/25/2014 2:56:21 PM
Bump for tonight's episode. Who's eating Korean?
3/28/2014 1:42:11 PM
I mean we are what about halfway through this season? I am assuming this season has to end with Will being released, rescuing Jack and putting Hannibal behind bars. Which is unfortunate because I enjoy him being out in the wild and him being caged up won't be as good of a show as Will being in jail. And woah, just watched tonights promo. Looks really interesting.[Edited on March 28, 2014 at 6:14 PM. Reason : a]
3/28/2014 6:12:13 PM
tonight is only episode 5 of 13, plenty of time left.
3/28/2014 7:03:17 PM
yummy Korean.
3/29/2014 6:15:35 PM
if this show continues some loose parallel to the movie series, hannibal does escape... so there's still plenty left for the story.
3/29/2014 7:10:06 PM
God I love the trippy visuals of Will's mind. Also like seeing the return of Eddie Izzard, fond memories of his standup from High School and college. Also, FWIW I don't watch the previews for the next episode of any program...so if we could keep that discussion off the table I'd appreciate it!
3/31/2014 9:01:31 AM
previews looked awesome!
3/31/2014 9:50:10 AM
^^agreed, I don't either.Probably my favorite show on right now (which will change next weekend when Game of Thrones restarts.
3/31/2014 1:47:32 PM
episode was great... shame about Beverly, since I liked her character a lotbut if she's gonna take over Will's head-Abigail duties, I'm okay with thatAlso, Eddie Izzard is coming to DPAC at the end of May if y'all want to go see him
3/31/2014 2:19:05 PM
The previews for two weeks ago were the first ones I had watched of this show. I really wish I hadn't because they showed Beverly running from Hannibal which turned out to be the last scene. I haven't watched this weeks and I think at this point I'll just shy away.
3/31/2014 2:19:33 PM
Miriam... Was that Jack's protege assumed to have been killed by the Ripper several years ago?
4/5/2014 2:44:28 PM
yep. alive sans the arm originally sent to Jack.also, this show is starting to solidify itself as my favorite on network TV.]
4/5/2014 3:55:36 PM
this show is deeply disturbing
4/6/2014 2:19:23 PM
Best episode yet. Too bad it's on the bubble for renewal...but would likely get picked up on netflix or prime
4/6/2014 6:07:42 PM
4/7/2014 1:14:51 PM
the only thing that clued me in was her missing arm
4/7/2014 4:18:01 PM
bump for tonight's episode. I think tonight is the first appearance of Mason Verger.
4/18/2014 9:55:36 AM
What does everything think about this past Friday's episode???SPOILERDo you guys really think that Freddie is dead? And if so, that Will Graham killed her?END SPOILER[Edited on May 5, 2014 at 9:12 AM. Reason : k]

I suspect that she may not really be,
5/5/2014 11:49:03 AM
Renewed for S3. I'm about half way through S2 right now - been hooked on this and Orphan Black for the last few weeks. I read on HitFix that one reason NBC renewed is it because an agreement with some other production company makes it a lot less expensive to produce. Does this show just not get the ratings it should because it airs on Friday nights?
5/9/2014 2:03:03 PM
I think it would be crazy for Will to have killed Freddie. I'm sure he subdued her and explained his plan to her. I am curious how he pulled off the meat though as Hannibal said he could taste it so well. Of course its possible that Hannibal was just faking, letting Will think he believes its Freddie. Who knows with this show, but I'm 99% positive Freddie isn't dead.
5/9/2014 3:14:13 PM
I really want to know why those asshats at NBC moved this show to Friday nights, especially given that this drama has the youngest views of any NBC offering. Young people and Friday night viewing doesn't mix.
