I had never seen a wild turkey before I moved east. Now I see those shits all the damn time, wandering around in fields by the roads, sometimes wandering into the roads. I imagine they could right fuck up a radiator.

They are becoming a nuisance around here. 20 years ago you never saw one, and we are in the middle of nowhere. They can cause serious crop damage because the flocks are so large, and one all but came through the windshield of my wife's car about a year ago while it was flying across a highway. According to the state maps, this area has the highest concentration of them, and I think the first hunting season on them was here. That being said, it sounds like the mail carrier could handle the problem with a good pair of boots or a tobacco stick.
