Got suggested to ask a question for something on stack exchange. Never joined. Problem is it takes freaken forever to get any reputation to do anything on there.

Got any ideas to get around it?

I love that site. Often when I'm dealing with an error message or am hitting a wall, I google the issue and add site:stackexchange.com on the end as they often have the best advice.
