the republican PC police attack again
2/5/2014 7:33:58 PM
WTF man, why is it ok to go after Republicans, but if they point out something wrong, its the "PC police"
2/5/2014 9:54:02 PM
^you partisan hack.
2/5/2014 11:33:49 PM
Because when Republicans get mad about a statement like that, its faux outrage. I don't see anything wrong with that statement.
2/6/2014 7:03:34 AM
because youre faux intelligent

Gee wiz. I guess at some point we all got together and voted dtownral to speak for all of us on how we really feel. His conclusion? We aren't really upset when people talk about us. We just get mad for the press. We can be berated, called racists, bigots, religious fanatics, gun nuts, rednecks - you name it, and we don't really care about it. How can you not see this as hypocritical? How is that tweet not offensive in your eyes? And have you heard what Barbour is saying about one of the black congressmen who happens to be a Republican? He's pretty much called him out as an Uncle Tom. Anybody on the left saying anything about that?
2/6/2014 9:34:07 AM
Its hypocritical when Republicans make much more offensive statements all the time, then feign outrage about that statement. Its not hypocritical to be offended by Republican's much more offensive statement, and point out that their outrage over this is hypocritical faux outrage.Does that catch you up?[Edited on February 6, 2014 at 9:41 AM. Reason : please don't mistake this as an endorsement of Clay Aiken]
2/6/2014 9:37:44 AM
Yea but you take the words of a few and apply them to the whole. Do I go around calling all Democrats racist because of the double standard with which they operate? No, but I can certainly point out a few.But hey, this is the manner of political discussions in TSB. You think I'm a racist bigot because of the political ideals to which I subscribe, and there's nothing I can do to change your mind about it. Every post I make will be seen through that lens.
2/6/2014 9:45:45 AM
but its not an equivalency, one party is a lot more racist. I'm sorry that you feel bad for being on the wrong side of history, but that's what it is.
2/6/2014 9:46:53 AM
Historically, southern Democrats were the most racist "sub" party that one could belong to.[Edited on February 6, 2014 at 9:49 AM. Reason : ada]
2/6/2014 9:48:58 AM
(the southern Democrats became Republicans when the Republican party started to use race baiting to divide poor southern whites and poor southern blacks. they probably didn't get to this until the end of the year in your high school American history class so I can understand your confusion, spring fever is pretty distracting)
2/6/2014 10:19:42 AM
Could you be anymore of a douchebag? I answered your question in historical terms. You didn't ask about how parties have changed over time. If I wanted to answer that, I would've mentioned that Republicans started out as the progressive party.Don't try to school me on American history. It's your type that is doing their best to rewrite it.
2/6/2014 1:52:09 PM
go read a Republican backed creationist textbook and then get back to me about who is rewriting history
2/6/2014 2:13:49 PM
Wasn't this thread about Clay Aiken?Regardless...creationism would only apply to a few textbooks...world history? You're not going to find creationist theories in American history. The one history that you people are trying to rewrite.
2/7/2014 7:24:01 AM
^you complain about someone "take the words of a few and apply them to the whole", yet you keep referring to "you people" who want to "rewrite history".

The current Republican party IS, at a minimum, far more racist than the current Democratic party. This is an objective reality.Republican know this, and they occasionally have meetings to try and figure out why.
2/7/2014 6:37:10 PM
that is an absolute lie.
2/7/2014 8:07:29 PM
Tree, I already made that joke
2/7/2014 8:52:29 PM
Again, calling republicans racist without shit to back it up.Go ahead and dig up a couple loonies and quote them here to prove your point, then apply that looney to all of us.
2/7/2014 8:54:38 PM
^^shit, you got me [Edited on February 7, 2014 at 10:45 PM. Reason : I control-F'd 'Studdard']

republicans might think black people are lazy but democrats think white people are eviltheres no objective fact in what moron posted[Edited on February 7, 2014 at 11:34 PM. Reason : other than the fact he suffers from white guilt]

2/8/2014 1:40:55 PM
racist is racist no matter dem or rephypocrisy / faux outrage doesnt change that at all
2/8/2014 3:06:33 PM
1) For the record, I was pointing out the hypocrisy of the right complaining about the "PC police" stuff2) Where did Clay Aiken say that Republicans were racists? Seems to me he just said that the didn't see many black people at their convention (and used hyperbole in an effort at humor. THE HORROR!!!!)3 ) Isn't this a pretty true statement? This is the first image that came up in GIS when I searched for "2012 republican national convention crowd":and this is the second:and the article for the second one is about the racial diversity problem at the 2012 RNC. Money quote:
2/10/2014 11:01:13 PM
i dont see black people when i go to cartography conventions/racist
2/11/2014 12:10:47 AM
Do you really mean to infer that an infinitesimal population is not being representative of American racial diversity is somehow logically equivalent to the racial makeup of a political party that nearly a third of Americans align with?
2/11/2014 11:37:36 AM
Is it racist to state the fact that statistically speaking, there aren't many black republicans?
2/11/2014 11:53:43 AM
it depends on your party affiliation
