the furnace in my house has decided sometimes it wants to randomly cut off and not run, and other times run and not cut off.

woke up this morning it was 50. woke up the other night and it was 85.

i hope my house doesn't explode.

That is the same problem I have. Its some sensor that constantly fouls up and either keeps it from starting or makes it run too long.

I'm pretty sure the problem with mine is the furnace is probably 50 years old.

You be careful with EMCE, he said he would pee in my butt once. It depends whether or not you consider that acceptable behavior for your host.

I showed a house the other day with a high efficiency heat pump, but the auxiliary heat was gas instead of heat strips. Now that is a nice setup!

That's how I had my parents go with the little house they just built in hickory. Great setup imo.

Make a day trip to get it, bring a friend so you can swap drivers.

At least there will be heat in the car.

I know youve like 3 threads on this so apologies if its been asked.

Have you looked at your heat pumps? Are they freezing? Or is it like a drain line issue?

What part did they say you need for this repair that youve nothing? Normally its either a heat pump or a coil issue, not both, unless its a blower issue (in which case you can jury-rig something with a fan at your intake)

Its a high efficiency gas furnace. The problem is the pressure test fails during the startup, but no one has been able to figure out how to fix it. The pressure switch and some other stuff has already been replaced. The condensate drain is draining.

The parts are under warranty, but labor is not, but I could make a case with the company that's working on it none of the labor they have put in has fixed it so far! Right now I am waiting on a replacement heat exchanger.

Its running right now, but once it turns off probably will not start the next time. I can mess with it and get it to start sometimes, but it wont start the next.

This is the furnace.
